I ignored the knock on my door, knowing it was my mother, I didn't feel like dealing with her at the moment. I was comfortable on my bed, listening to my iPod. I closed my eyes and listened closing to "Mr. Brightside," singing it in my head. I knew every word, but I thought it was too much for my mother to deal with if I started singing. I have an amazing voice, but my mother absolutly hates it.
When she finally left from outside of my bedroom door, I went over to my computer and checked my facebook. Singing softly now, I read my message from Abbey. She wanted to see if I wanted to "chill" with her on Friday. I knew she liked me since 7th grade, but seriously, we are in 10th grade now. I have turned her down half a dozen times and she still won't give up. Maybe I should have said yes to finally get her off my back, but my fingers automaticly typed "sorry, busy" in the reply box.
The wind started to whistle outside as it started to rain. Downstairs I could smell chicken strips in the oven. Lately, my mom has been lazy with dinner, I didn't say anything because I didn't want to make her feel bad. There was another knock at my door and I sighed out as I got up to anwser it. She didn't even have to tell me dinner was ready, so I walked past her and down the stairs without a word.

I was already at the table when Mom got downstairs. My hand dropped to my stomach as I heard it grumble in hunger. "Mom, I'm hungery. Where is the food?" I yelled to her in the kitchen. She silently walked out of the doorway and put rolls and green bean casserole in front of my on the table. "Yum," I mummered as I reached for a roll and a big scoop of casserole.
"Where were you all day?" my mother asked quietly as she started to eat her steaming food. I remember what happened today, well, last night and this morning. Nick climbed up to my window around two in the morning, I was asleep but woken. He said that Jeff was having a party and there was a ton of college chicks there. So I got up and went to the party. It lasted until about 8:30 in the morning, but by then I had such a buzz I crashed at Jeff's house and stayed there until about 5 o'clock, an hour and a half before dinner.
"I was... out. But it doesn't matter where I was," I responded pushing another big bite of roll in my mouth. "So what about you? What did you do today?" I asked, trying to direct the conversation more towards her. I looked over at her as soon as her head shot back up.
"What do you mean it doesn't matter where you were? Of course it matters!" She had put down her fork all together, that means she was going to lecture me. "You are out of control mister! You leave and you don't tell me where you are going, it drives me nuts! And do you really want to know what I did today?" she asked, I nodded trying to look interested but not really caring what she did. "I spent my day trying to figure out what I am going to do about your attitude young man! Now," she said in a softer tone, "both your friends and I think you attitude is out of control. So we, well more like I, came up with this, The Clone Treatment Center. It will change your attitude. You're not the only one in the world that matters you know." With that she went back to eating, letting shock take over me.
"YOU'RE SENDING ME TO AN ATTITUDE DETENTION CENTER!?!" I was completly taken aback by what she just explained to me. 'How could she do this to me?' I thought. 'And my friends agreed with her?! They're crazy!'
Then she spoke again. "No," she said, responding to my outburst, "you are sending you there." I didn't know what she ment, but she explained without me even questioning. "It will be funded from your savings account, one of you savings account. I just so happens that it is the one with the most money in it." With that I felt like fainting, I was going to buy a new car with that money, and now it is going to be raped into paying for my characteristic ajustment! I don't know what I am going to do.
