How do you keep yourself in check? I know I shouldn't eat certain things, but yet at the time I don't even think about it. I feel like I'm falling further away from my goal because I'm not even thinking about what I eat half the time... sad

I think about every single thing i eat. Sometimes i get a nasty surprise and find something has more calories than i thought, but everything is analysed and thought about before I eat it. I think about what it is, its fat ocntent, calorie content, how much of it im going to eat. I think in order to be successful you really need to think about everything you put in your mouth

That's the hard part. :C Um, I know I always fall back to chewing gum, but it helps with goals like this. Keep something in your mouth (I sometimes keep little plastic pieces, I'm weird, but it keeps my mouth occupied and happy, so whatever haha) like gum or whatever. Something that you have to *consciously* take out of your mouth before you eat. That way you don't just go all zombie like I do sometimes. Snackssss~

i totally understand where your coming from. i made a goal what was it last summer? that said i was going to lose 50lbs by my 16th birthday. well my birthday is in 4 days and so far i have lost 5lbs. yay. rolleyes i don't think its a matter of forgeting your trying to lose weight, i think its a mind thing. like i know personally everytime i see something i want i think "oh just one won't hurt" and the next thing you know i've had more than enough. maybe try writing everything down. see how mush you eat during the day. it makes you more conscience of what you put in your mouth because at the end of the day when you write everyting down you dont want to see all of the crap you've eaten. at least thats how i am. also i found this site called weightview.com where you can send in a picture and have it digitally edited so you see what you could look like up to 50lbs thinner. i know its been good motivation for me so maybe you should try it? remember its not just about what you eat. you also have to move, ad the more you move effective your diet will be, because just because you watch what you eat doesn't mean you burn what you eat. heart
