I left the fold 6 years ago cause of all the things I was taught to hate, after learning about the burning times, it shattered my faith, now there's a book going around called Wicca Satan's little white lie, I am wiccan and I love Jesus, this is a very hard path to be on, but Its were I am and i must go forward, I will do my best to be kind and honest about my beliefs, even though they are strictly forbidden, or am i just a hypocrite for wanting to sing and have the company of others? i think the born again church has declared war on us, why am i going back? I know more people leave paganism and become christian, i left the church and became a pagan.. well i think Jesus went with me.....

I am wiccan

I am a bit skeptical and am wondering if you can provide a tradition and lineage to verify that you are indeed Wiccan?

The 161 Laws of Wicca are incompatible with the tenets of Christianity.
You cannot be both Wiccan and Christian.
Anyone who has ever told you otherwise has either lied to you to get money from you (the authors of most of the books in your "Wiccan" library) or has been lied to and believed the lie.
Wicca is orthopraxic. Meaning that, while what you believe is irrelevant, what you practice is not open to debate. Included in the practices of Wicca are

  • Gender polarised sex-rite intitiation
  • Clergy to two specific Gods, a Lord and a Lady
  • Mystery

This list is by no means conclusive, but you cannot get these things without the first.

You are not, nor have you ever been, a Wiccan.

that doesn't make any sense, I am that i am.. i don't have a pedigree or need one to be what I believe I am......I will never not be wiccan, why do I feel like I'm getting beat on for sharing what I'm experiencing....

It doesn't make sense I think because you don't know what proper Wicca actually is.
You are what you are indeed, but what you are not, is Wiccan.

True, you don't need a specific bloodline to be Wiccan. However, you do need a lineage. If you do not understand what is meant by lineage in the context of Wicca, you are only furthering to prove that you are NOT Wiccan.

You never have been Wiccan though neutral
You are being questioned and corrected, not bashed. It would be prudent to learn the difference here very quickly.

Firstly. How can you be both a Wiccan and a Christian? First of all, Jesus says you cannot serve two masters.

Second of all, to be Wiccan you have to believe in the God and Goddess, that is what Wicca is about.
Yet Jesus never mentioned a God and Goddess... So how?

I have more questions, but we will work on a few at a time.

Hmm...I have a cure for this:

Don't.

Read.

Siver.

Ravenwolf.

She only makes you fear Christianity because she hates it so much. Her morals and imagery about the Christians are just horrible. The followers of Yeshua's teachings are wonderful people if not a little misinformed on some things(some of them not all of course).

Mr. Schnoebelen is a great author of conspiracies and his book is falsifiable. It says so on the back: "William Schnoebelen thought Wicca was a harmless, nature-worshiping religion."
Well, he is wrong first off. My guess is (I have never read the book but I can infer much from GoogleBooks) that he got into a wrong crowd of people who read a mixture of the Cthulhu mythos and Tvvanism (Neo-pagan witchcraft). Either that or he is blatantly lying.

And the Church has not declared war on the pagan community. They wouldn't have enough supporters.

I really want to make a flash that has a fluffy pulling out a SRW book and then me pulling out Triumph of the Moon making the fluffy die instantly from my knowledge roll of +10 against all SRW books.

Instead of this:

Did you assume everyone here is Wiccan? I am not.

I am an ex-christian and an older ex-wiccan. I can tell you for sure that you cannot mix the two.

What I think you are doing is wanting to be able to do what you want, but you are afraid to go to hell so you mix what you want with christianity so you can feel safe.
Sadly to say you cannot stand on the fence, you cannot be Wiccan and Christian.

Do you not think questioning beliefs has any merit?
If your beliefs are inconsistent with objective reality or otherwise faulty, do you not want them corrected and to learn correct information?
Is ignorance accepted in your path?

Oh a cheap shot using Christianity rolleyes . You must be so proud; did you come up with that all by yourself?
For future note, I don't think the Christianity bashing/insults are going to fly here.
And no, I am not Wiccan.
See? We have something in common.

This is the pagan fluffy rehab guild
You area a pagan fluffy.
Did you think rehab was going to be easy?
Let's face it, though. You don't want to be a respectful, honourable, intellectually honest pagan. You want to be a fluffy bunny out saving the world against evil vampires et al.
Go back to church.
Put down the magic books.
Pick up D&D.
You'll find it a lot more satisfying.

I'm not going to waist my time here anymore, you guys are very twisted, you act old and wise but your answers suggest total immaturity and disrespect go burn some white sage and and spend some time on earth...

We are all pagans here. This is not a guild for the Wica. I doubt that the Wica would create one for that matter XD

Did someone call you a fluffy bunny ever? It either hurt or opened your eyes, didn't it? Maybe even both?

We get it, paganism can be hard. There's so much information out there and you don't know where to start. Or perhaps, you've been pagan for a long time and realize that something just doesn't add up right. Maybe you've established yourself well and have plenty to share with those cursed by the Fluff.

We are here to help in the best way possible.

I myself am here to learn more about paganism so I can help others. Baby steps, my friend, baby steps.
