My mother seems interested in signing me up for one of their programs. Does anyone here have a read on these people, and whether it's something viable or not?

Aside from offending my design sensibilities, that website worries me.
The "imagine a world without AIDS", the love bombing, it all seems a bit brain-washy to me.
If you go, or are forced to go, wear your skeptic's hat.
Skepticism should be one of the main tools in any pagan's belt.

I agree - I would be really skeptic of it. Honestly, I wouldn't do it, if I can't trust it then no. You can find better, maybe even free and more trustworthy.

You mean the Cylons?

Because you'll never get away from them.

Ahh no. Anonymous, when Chanology was first getting started, started calling the Scientologists Scilons, precisely for the reason you mentionned.

Too many happy pictures and utopian assertions + lack of concrete data = one suspicious coyote.

The style makes me think of the get-rich-quick and diet pill infomercials you see on TV. As Cu said, "Wear your skeptic's hat."

I'm not sure I can take them seriously.

And their aesthetic sense gave me a headache. neutral

Feels suicide cult esque to me. All my warning signal instincts are going off.

Church compounded by being an LLC struck me as odd.

Also? Whose to say they are directing the sympathy correctly?

After looking over the site for a little while(I only glanced at it before), and reading some of the articles, I'd tell you to run.

In one article, it talks about how their healing (AIM) isn't rational, and thinking about it logically will only hinder your progress. They insist that not only is it the truth, but that all other healing programs don't really heal you. Not only that, but all the other healing programs out there really just copy theirs, and forget the most important part (mostly, that it's not their program).

In another, the guy mentions MPD as an ideal situation, then goes on to talk about wholeness and "eliminate[ing] the distinction between self and others." He then says that his system "healed" a girl of her autism.

If it was me, I'd express my disinterest, and if my mother forced me, I'd make sure I wasn't participating.

Great gods, that's terrifying. Thank you Animajor, I had suspicions but these seem to confirm it. Is it ok if I share your findings with my mother? (Any may respond to this request).

If it were me, I would not be wearing my Skeptic's hat, I would be wearing my kitchen foil lined hat of "keep the ******** out of my brain you scary scary people" and my t-Shirt of "I baseball bat people like you for sport"
