So here's the deal.. I've lost a LOT of weight and now I'm looking to tone up but I'm having a lot of problems with doing that because of my strength and energy level.

To get a good idea of what I do from a day to day basis, my exorsize as of late has been a brisk 40 minute walk 5 days a week (followed by 20 minute walks later on in the day if there's nothing else to do). I usually am out all day during the weekends so no time to walk then, but I stay active on those days.

Right now I'm 5'5.8 and 140(?)LBS. I should not be having the problems I'm having with strength!

- I try to jog, but I can't because my legs give out so easily. Sometimes they even buckle under.

- When I try to do strength moves I can only do so many before I can't go anymore, and usually it's only been 10 fricken minutes!

- My endurance is for crap.

- I'm always very weak with strength exorcises.

Now I'll let you know I'm type 2 diabetic who's had low blood sugar recently. I've talked to my doctor and she told me my meds are probably too strong.. and now even my birth control/hormone pills (Polysystic Ovarian Disease) could be too strong since I lost so much weight. But she's taking forever to get the testing done to see if I can go on a different medication because she has to be sure my liver is okay (which we believe it is)

So my question is.. should I push myself to build up now, or just do the best I can and wait it out until they can even out the meds, and I feel better?

Also any other advice for me on the subject of strength and weak limbs especially with jogging would be amazing. (:

Have you tried yoga/pilates?

I don't know about your circumstances, but I find the easier ones less physically strenuous than strength training/cardio, but they still have a crazy good effect, and if you start with just a few, and build up, it could be good.

Def. talk to your doctor though, if what you're feeling isn't normal, ask them for some advice.

The only way to build endurance and strength is to do it, start low, work till you can't work no more, wait a bit, then work it again. You'll see results eventually. ._. There's no tricks I know of.

Yoga is good, but it just slips the work in while you're doing it so you don't notice, I'm usually dead tired but exhilarated after yoga.

Pilates I don't know about, I never got into it.

I have actually been trying some yoga stretches and I like it a lot. I need to work on my form and all that stuff and find a good tape or routine to do. I wish I could take a class to work on my form but I don't have the money or the way to get to a gym..

Pilates is also something I've been trying.

Thanks for the advice! Nice to know the yoga isn't just a light thing that won't work. I'll have to keep at it and learn more.

Are you getting enough protein and iron in your diet?

Most of what I eat is white meat, lean red meat, egg whites, and that kind of thing. Plus I take iron pills like I would a vitamin. I don't think I could be iron deficient(?)?
