Has anyone else had this issue?
I over-slept by a couple hours, which isn't horrendous; and it makes me know I've received more than enough rest.

I'm still eating roughly every two hours; I have consumed fruits [a red grapefruit, a medium apple] and vegetables [lots of peas/corn/green beans] as well as a couple bites beef, a slice of wheat and cheese, a yogurt, and bunches of tea and some peanut butter. I also had 200 calories chocolate and Chai tea.

Is my current diet in correlation to my drowsiness?
I danced for a few minutes and that helped for a half hour.

Also, does anyone have any strength training routines that they'd be willing to share? I'm trying to integrate my usual litany of sit ups/crunches/bicep curls/squats but need help.

Go to Prevention.com, they have great sets of routines there.

Eating healthily wouldn't make you drowsy. It would give you more energy, not less. Some possibilities:

1. You're fighting off a cold. 'Tis the season, you know.

2. You're succumbing to the winter blues. When there's less sunshine, a lot of people have less energy.

3. You've been missing little bits of sleep here and there for a while, and your body finally decided it was time to play catch-up. Sleep loss is accumulative over time -- that is, if you miss a half-hour of sleep you needed on Sunday, 15 minutes you needed on Monday, an hour on Tuesday, and 45 minutes on Wednesday, by Thursday you'll need an extra 2.5 hours of sleep to catch up.

4. You're eating the right foods, but not enough of them. Increase your protein -- say, 3 ounces of protein, twice a day. Protein means eggs, fat-free or low-fat cheese/yogurt/milk, fish, fowl, or meat. (Not nuts. They do contain protein, but not nearly as much as the fat they contain, so they count as fats. Healthy fats, but still, fats.)

I try for six or seven PM.

Are you just eating healthier or are you also exercising more?
