I read my entire Bible in a year once, just to say I've done it (and also to read the parts I'd never read before). The church I go to is rather big, and we have a much older population, so I have no idea. We have a Sunday school Bible study type thing every week though, and I know that those people are at least all reading that verse/passage in order to discuss. xd But it really is sad how many Christians don't read the Bible. It's like .... how can you not? How can you not read for yourself what you're supposed to believe? How can you defend your faith if you have no idea what your faith is even supposed to entail?? How can you decide for yourself Who God really is and His place in your life if you don't even read His Word to the people?? It just confuses me. confused But as a guild, we really try to encourage more members to read the Bible, which is why, every month, we include a Bible verse in our newsletter to think about for that month, and why we have this subforum, and why we're going to be starting a Bible study soon.

I've read up to Deuteronomy in the Old Testament, and I've almost finished reading Luke in the New Testament. I've been working on reading the entire Bible, and understanding it all. I don't know about my parents, but my sister has read at least some of the Old and new Testaments. My Church, I really can't say, we have two services, an Contemporary one, and a Traditional one. I go to the Traditional one, and there's a much older population there, and they've probably all read at least parts of it, I'm sure a lot of them have read it in entirety. The Contemporary service is mostly adults 20-30, and teenagers, I have no knowledge of what they've done, but some of them have definitely read some of the Bible, otherwise they wouldn't understand the sermons at all!
4/29/09: I finished the New Testament in the beginning of this month, then completed Pslams, and I am now reading Proverbs. After that I'm reading Isaiah, and then starting at Genesis.
