This is xposted from my journal. it's 1am and my friends are asleep so I've pretty much only told 2 people and I'm too excited to sleep lol.

ZOMG..... I seriously thought I'd never have a job in my field!!! I was JUST getting ready for bed, it's my habit to check my mail right before I go to sleep to see what I'm missing in the world etc. And I seen a reply from the people at bob kellner fireworks XD basically said "after meeting with you yesterday, we would love for you to come work with us!" biggrin I AM SO HAPPY biggrin I'll be designing packaging and advertising for the fireworks, coming up with slogans and names, and pretty much designing everything about the packaging and catalogs from the ground up. Also get to do a little bit of web work, on the layout/graphic side of things, they have a website programmer already. I'll also have to help out with the shop aspects -- but i dont mind of course, i have more than enough experience with retail that it's no problem XD I'm so happy. I'm REALLY happy. I wanted it so badly... because it was so local and close and because... ever since i was 13 or 14, the only thing I've ever wanted to do was graphic arts. I can't believe I got the job!!!!! Eeeeeeeeeeeee!!! /screams XD hehe. I emailed him back. He sent it over 7 hours ago but I was out all day XD and lastnight... halloween and stuff with friends and stuff XD I wasnt expecting to hear back so quickly XD ha awesome! biggrin I'm thrilled. I could bounce off the walls right now smile I love life. Life is good. Things are looking up for me biggrin I will call the office tomorrow too just in case the email doesnt get through XD omg... I dunno if I can sleep now!!! lol. I'm so happy. I could just run around hugging everyone and everything ^_^ I'm going to be so happy here! biggrin I finally will have a career, not a "job" a career, something I really really am interested in. ^_^ And they seem really nice, and I'll get to see their kitty again ^_^ and doggie too. hehe. Wow I'm pumped up!!!!!!!!!!! heeeeeee. XD I want to tell a buncha people but its 1 am so theyre asleep lol. I'd feel bad waking anyone up with a text or IM lol. XD so I must contain my excitement til morning when I can unleash it upon the world bwahaha. lol. I'm so happy!!! Did I mention... I'm really really really reallllllly freakin' happy? biggrin I am from this day forward, a true graphic artist biggrin

Bit of background so this might make more sense, I graduated with my bachelor's degree in computer design almost 2 years ago now (december 2006 I think... my... time goes by quickly) But never did find a position in my field. I have been working retail and now the last 6 months in a call center... I had kinda given up hope, after all, being an artist is a pipe dream, and when the economy is bad, the arts are the first thing to suffer, but none the less, it's always been my dream, So I got an email earlier this week from this company that seen my resume on monster and I went in for an interview yesterday, and they emailed me this afternoon and told me I had the job biggrin It's a big pay increase, alot closer to home than my current job, and it's my childhood dream to do something in the realm of arts. I am truly happy tonight obviously ^_^. I have no one to share the happiness with at such a late hour so the whole internet will hear my tale before I turn out the lights and TRY to sleep lol.
