I wouldn't watch it. When L died it started to be really hard to pay attention to the show.

I think Near. But to be honest if L hadn't been in it, I might not have continued to watch.

I would like Near even more. I never held a grudge against Near, but one cannot deny he is L Jr.

Probably Matt, I like him for some reason.
If L wasn't in it though it would probably suck so I probably wouldn't even watch it.

Since he IS in there, I would not even try to THINK about it... it's just too bleak... BUT if it happened, I probably would have just thought it was too boring after a few pages. Because seriously, I really DID almost give up after L died, and then again when Mello was introduced. No offense Mello-lovers, but... he looks sorta weird... But at least he learned the sacred art of sweet-munching from L! XD

For me it would definitely be Ryuk - come on, how many times do you see all-powerful death gods going crazy for something as simple as apples - but I have to admit, if it wasn't for L, there would be something SERIOUSLY wrong with Death Note. He's just too cute! 4laugh

He is my second favourite character in all of Death Note. But if there were no L, then who'd eat all of those sweets?
