It's cold!

Autumn has come early to Britain. In fact, some trees were in such a hell of a hurry that they were already blood red by the middle of September. Everywhere I go, I see drifts of leaves and smell that unique autumnal scent of drying vegitation. People will be burning their leaf piles soon and it's only just October.

And it's COLD! Well, colder than it was at this time last year, anyway. I've already got out my winter coat on the windier days.

The long term weather forecast says it's going to be a winter with average temperatures, not a warm winter like we've had for the past two years. 30% chance of a white Christmas! And they're saying there will certainly be snow that sticks.

So, GGG, what's the weather like where you are? Are the leaves changing? And are you hoping for a cold winter, or are you one of those people who'd rather stay nice and warm?

And for those of you living in the southern hemisphere, how is spring progressing?

I always lived in a really well-treed area until now. 17 years surrounded by trees in the fall, and now living in Chicago. It's a big change. The weather however, feels about the same. The weather got pleasantly chilly very quickly. Last week, it was averaging around 82 degrees every day; this week, it's averaged about 62.

It's 'chilly' here in the T-dot. I don't mind though as it gives me the excuse to dress even more flamboyantly gothy. I love donning my glamorous pashmina and spider brooch along with my fall jacket!

And the leaves here will be gorgeous soon!

The weather's quite odd in Maine right now (bah like it's ever not odd) - frigid in the mornings, often quite hot in the afternoons, but it seems to be trending more towards general coldness lately. Yay! The leaves are turning at random, it seems - around my house there's only a few trees with any change whatsoever, but up at university the sidewalks and such are positively covered with small yellow leaves. It's quite nice 3nodding

Depends on what you see as chiily or cold. It's been averaging around 60. at night's it's been getting to low 50's high 40's so the temp is dropping fast.

Here in D.C. it's starting to get really nippy. I love it! The leaves haven't really started to turn but the time is getting near.

We don't have seasons in Southern California. We have warm, hot, hotter, and HELL-LIKE.

The weekly average is about...hm...well I'd say 84. xp

You have no idea how much I love the cold, I hate living down here.

When I go out today Im wearing white knee high boots, fleshy tights, socks, black skirt, t shirt, jumper, cardigan, parka and gloves and a white baggy beret thing.

Here in Egypt we still have our summer clothes on but the temperature is going a little down.

When I go out today Im wearing white knee high boots, fleshy tights, socks, black skirt, t shirt, jumper, cardigan, parka and gloves and a white baggy beret thing.

We are wearing hoodies some but mostly still t-shirts and jeans we don't wear coats until it gets down to uhhh...low 40's? so at 60 it's a little chilly but still nice outside smile

Since I live in the mountainy part of Arizona it get to be about 56 degrees F, but the rest of the state is warm, dry, hot, and sunny most of the time during winter. confused
