So, I'm officially applying for a business license for my flower shop. But what do I call my business? That's where you guys come in!

That's surprisingly hard. I would suggest "blooming patch" or "bloomfield flowers" (a play on bloom, field flowers), but they don't really sound good.
Why not name the flower shop after yourself or a loved one?

Because I'm hoping that sometime in the distant future, my shop will still be prosperous enough that when it's time to retire, I can hand it off to whoever is qualified/willing to take it, and it needs to have a name that isn't person specific. ...If that makes sense.
I could give it my last name . . . But there are a lot of places around here with my last name, because the land used to belong to my ancestors, way back during the time of the Mayflower.

Maybe if you asked the people in the 'serious talk' forum, you might get more help. This forum is more for fun and games.

Sir_Bors How about "The House of Flowers"? Does it sound good? INTERNATIONAH HAWZ O' FLOWAHS! We gibz you flowahs in purty see-rammik cups, and we fillz da cups wif coffee and maple sirrip. That's the IHOF, fo' sho't. Yeah, let's think something original, here. So unique, that it's unforgettable. Incorporating the street name is a good idea, also.
