AWESOME! The way the young whippersnappers act around here, I figured I was close to being the oldest. I am way far from you, but looking forward to every new decade after this!

Thanx everyone for your comments. I joined Gaia to keep in touch with my grandsons who moved quite a distance away. BUT! I became captivated with my little avatar, my house and car. I LOVE jigsaw and scanning the forums. It is all so much fun! I am fortunate because my health is still good and I can bike ride and take weekly tap dance lessons. I still tutor at a local learning center a few hours a week. Live alone and do all my own cooking, landscaping etc. My mom (who lived to 97) used to say "Life is swell when you keep well." So take care of yourselves and have FUN on Gaia! rofl

You don't look a day over 25! Just don't buy into the "act/look your age garbage and keep on keepin' on! biggrin

You definitely got me beat in age *bows in respect to awesomeness of your age*. Stay young at heart because I personally think it'll take you quite up in age, thereby making you even more awesome.

I think in this guild, you may be the oldest... as for all of Gaia... who knows.
Welcome

Makes me feel better - just turned 39 a week earlier before Labor Day Weekend.
Serious, I'm so hoping there will be more of us... but my fear is that Generation X will be replaced by Generation y2K. Then who will be left over after we screwed it all up for our grandchildren ?!!
It's not too late to tell someone "younger" than you - that they are important.
Still, I think we as Older folks will have to make an example of what is a decent role model. Even if we really screw up on that department. Then again < veg > I don't remember exactly when I've done anything well... without screwing that up too.
So please do forgive us... for not knowing that you can invent something new like an iPHONE... and BLU-RAY... we're just learning how to call something an MP3 or how to upload junk on a mobile phone device.
T.G.

For the longest time, I thought I was the only older person here on Gaia! Then I met BicentennialMan and Grandpa Jones and his wife, Grandma Jones. I didn't feel so bad about my age, then. I'm 42. I joined in 2003 after my youngest daughter showed the site to me.
I can only hope to still be around at your age. I don't think I'll make it, but it sure would be nice!
I'm so glad I found this guild!!
