Not to schedule a mass get together, I just wanted to see how many others were located here. I've ran into a few at the mall (saw the hats and shirts they were wearing. ;P), but are there any others?

Born and Raised in CO and still live here...never gone snowboarding or skiing (eventhough I've been on the gondola up in Steamboat Springs). I love the mountains!

Actually, I just moved here this year. Go figure. XD I just came from the past two years in Alaska and lived between Delaware and Maryland until I was 19. So I'm quite new to CO and still learning my way around.

I'm not in Colorado currently, but I grew up there and then went to college out of state. All my family still lives in Denver, though, so sometimes it feels as if it's a second home. smile

For some reason, people seem to think you either ski or snowboard when you're in Colorado. I've gotten similar comments when I've told people I'm from Colorado, but honestly I have never gone skiing nor snowboarding. In fact, a lot of the people I used to know here didn't even like snow.

ThisEmptySoul a lot of the people I used to know here didn't even like snow. who can blame them...winter here starts in sept and goes through what appears to be May now based on this year...ugh! Honesty I loved the snow...until that series of blizzards back in 06...early 07. Juliets last kiss I live a few blocks from downtown denver, and was there through the whole DNC convention! Woot! I was down there Thursday night only....too much excitment for me...but at least campus was shut down so I got the week off to do homework I've barely even started, lol I was going to hit up The Taste of CO today, but it was too hot and my allergies started to really kick my butt

I live in the neighbrhood of Lakewood, heh. While I don't necessarily enjoy being out in the snow (driving and such since often times a lot of the people here don't know how to drive in it), I don't mind it from home while reading a book. Sometimes the cold is just too much for me though, thus why I prefer Colorado fall time and spring time.
And at least I'm not the only geezer in Colorado. sweatdrop

Honesty I loved the snow...until that series of blizzards back in 06...early 07. I live in the general vicinity of the Denver area, and from my experience here so far, it doesn't start snowing until the end of October or early November and we usually don't get much. Denver usually gets more snow for some reason even though I'm not that far away neutral
The '06 blizzards were kind of cool, but I guess I only think that because I didn't have to drive at the time.

And no one had to drive at that time...good thing because really no one knows how to drive here apparently. They were kind of cool, I'll admit that, but it was cold...and I had to shovel for my dog...yay me

Originally from Louisiana but have been in CO for 3 years now. I must say one of my most memorable experiences here was when I went mountain camping with my children last summer in Pikes National Forest. It was so amazing there. I cried when we had to leave LOL
I have not really explored much more than the local parks and lakes during the summer. And I miss the long summer months of the South - so not used to snow and cold weather at all. And here it seems we only get 2-3 warm months out of the entire year. Not good for me. hehe!
The children are missing home too. I recently reunited with my biological mother as well so I am planning to move back to the South but not sure when it will happen just yet - working on it though wink Nice to meet all of you here! mrgreen
