Yeah, feel free to move this if it isn't in the right subforum. On to business.
This is based on a weird conversation I had with my Mom in the breakroom with another coworker (that is an adult).
Mom: Why do guys like to see two girls make out so much?
coworker: I really don't know.
me: I am not a guy, but probably they think its hot.
Mom: I get it. So more girls the merrier. But girls don't do the same thing with guys.
me: Girls think gay guys making out is hot. I know a couple (yeah, didn't mention me, but I am not that brave people).
*odd look from mom* Mom: I don't think so.
So, this is a two part conversation. Yeah, girls like yaoi because without them (I am one of them), this guild wouldn't exist. Neither would the term yaoi fangirls. So, do you personally, in real life or in non-animated movies, like to see two guys kiss? I personally do.
Part two of the conversation. Why are guys so noticed for it and the girls aren't noticed for the same thing? Come on, it is sad when middle aged woman know about guys and the lesbian/yuri obsession. Do girls hide it better or something? I just want to know your persepective.

Guys kissin' is hot, man. And I don't even like guys.
Outdated social perception of the female as a non-sexual entity. A lot of people, subconsciously or openly, believe that women are all about emotions and love and fluff and couldn't possibly ever have any sort of sexual fixation. We're just thinking about daisies and laundry.

My friend and I are openly into gay guys, animated or otherwise. Our parents know. Mom even agreed that two hot guys making out is hot.
Women don't get noticed as much for things because women don't have a sexuality or a sex drive according to society. Men are overly sexual and its announced to everyone.

I think it's because porn with women in is at a substantial high comparing to guy on guy and since more dudes watch porn, you get my drift. Yaoi is more in the now and us girls like to be less discreet about it.

I really don't see why it's totally obvious that most girls like to see two guys kissing. We're not that discreet about it either. But everyone knows most guys like to see tow girls goign at it... because guys are seemingly the hornier ones. Most adult people think girls cannot be perverted... even though that's not true.

I do think girls hide it better though. Men seem to have...uh...less control over things like that. I suppose it's because girls are usually more well-mannered. Because we've all noticed how most men who go on and on about how hot women kissing etc. is aren't very classy.

My parents know I like yaoi, and they tease me about it all the time. I'm pretty perverted and they know it. They're just very open-minded and I'm pretty straight forward on what I like. wink
And...I know that guys get the rep for being perverted and all, but I actually think that chicks are more perverted...at least the ones I've met are more so than the guys I know... xp

I think girls are just more discrete so no one notices. I'm one of the most perverted people I know and say some pretty awful things but no one would expect it just talking to me. I think most girls work that way and we have less of a stereotype against us .

A lot of men arnt as discreet about the whole thing as we are.So nobody takes notice.Also theres the whole thing about men being more horny and such.
But people nowadays have still to come out of the past and accept that us women can be pervs to >.<
Dont blame the parents.Its just the way they were brought up.
They sometimes act like innocent kids actually.
Like one time when we were watching this weird stalker movie thing.There was this girl who shoved a hairbrush handle up her...ummm you know >.>
But thankfully we couldnt see anything.

Men are more comfortable with their perversions. They don't care who knows that they get off to images of two girls doing it. (Crude but true, unfortunately.) Girls tend to be less assertive about what turns them on, so therefore less people know the true number of yaoi/shounen-ai fangirls.

I love to see two guys kissing smile I can watch all movie just for one kiss smile . Even hug is good for me razz . I think that girls are just allowed to more things in our culture than guys sad ( for example holding hands ) so if they like yaoi stuff none notice it or think serious about it.
