School Journal Entry: December 20th: Lilly; an only child. Seven siblings; all deceased.
My twin Billy died from leukemia at six.
Sally died in a car crash at seven.
Heidi died during childbirth.
Her twin Cosette fell off a jungle gym and cracked her head at four.
And about three others inbetween.
I'm still alive. I'm the only kid in the family to live past age ten.
My parents want another child, no matter what.
Sometimes I wonder, am I not good enough?

Lilly, now fifteen, lives with her parents still. They're still trying to have children, but they're nearing a time where they won't be able to. They're now turning to adoption. Now a boy is living in the house on a trial basis. What'll happen?

Lilly was sitting in the living room, waiting for her parents to come back with the boy.

Isaac was in the back seat of the car, listening to his ipod looking out the window. As the car pulled up to th house he got out and grabbed his small bag as he walked into the house.

Lilly sprang up to greet her parents, but then saw that the boy walked in first. She froze, looking at Isaac. "hello..."

Isaac gave her a peace sign. "Where do I live?" He asked refering to where his room was.

She looked around, "Up this way," she said, pointing upstairs as she headed towards the stairs.

He looked at her for a moment then just followed her

Lilly pointed out important areas such as the bathroom, her parent's room, then her room. Her room was located right across from Isaac's and right beside the bathroom. "I'll go get your bags, make yourself comfortable," she smiled softly at him before taking off down the stairs.

Isaac ran past her and grabbed his stuff. "No let me do it." He said grabbing his only one bag and bringing it up to his room. He went to her and pinched her cheek softly with a little smile. "Thanks though cutie." He then walked back to his room.

Lilly blinked, "Uh, no problem," she replied and stepped downstairs to meet her parents, who were already raving about Isaac.

Isaac walked into his room and got changed into a stripped black and grey shirt with a jacket over it, as well as a pair of skinny jeans. He grabbed a crown, looking like a prom queen mini crown, and put it on his head. He walked out of the room and walked downstairs.

Lilly went into the kitchen, sighing. She wondered if Isaac would be nice. She tried not to think morbid thoughts, but she did wonder briefly if he would die... She shook her head, clenching her jaw and trying to think of cupcakes and rainbows.
