So this is the first time I have had my heart broken.
Here it is plain and simple, I befriended a guy, fell in love with him, he became the one person I could talk to about anything and I didn't feel alone, even though we weren't together.
So, I finally tell him how I feel and he doesn't feel the same and now we can hardly talk, I mean he's all happy and stuff and I am depressed---not because of him but more because I am really lonely now, I have a lot going on and I really wish I had someone to help through it, he was my person but he's not there anymore.
So basically, I am trying to break up with a guy, I was never actually with. Make sense?
Any Advice ?

Are you so sure he isn't there for you anymore? The person may not have intimately affectionate feelings for you, but I'm sure he has something there for you if he always listened to you. Really, it's not a matter of having your heart broken or not. It's you figuring out what that guy meant and how you want or don't want to keep that same relationship. It could be the same thing, but you would have to lose that affectionate touch you had with him.

Well I suppose he is there in a sense he says he is, but he is just colder, he hardly makes conversations and whenever I try to have a conversation with him about something that's bothering me,I get the feeling he does care and he avoids it.

Perhaps you should give him some time. How long ago did you confess your feelings to him?

WOW. That's along time sweetie. Was he like that right off the bat? But anyways;; Perhaps you should just try to have a regular conversation. Like start over as friends again and then rebuild that bond you had with him? Or, If he doesn't get over himself any time soon, and you do, then just go off and find new friends. It's never that hard.
