Recently our teacher gave us a large project to complete, part of which was to design items for a clothing boutique. I've decided to sell lolita and romani-goth items!
---
So, for those of you in school, ever had a project where your gothiness showed through? Have you ever been able to express your love of the Bauhaus and corsets through a project/assignment? Tell us what you did and everyone's reaction!

I wrote a paper about goth culture for my anthropology class. It was so much fun, I'd been waiting for a chance to do something like that for years. Got 50 out of 50 (but to be honest, my teacher was a really easy grader).

The only thing was that it was really hard to find reliable sources. I would really have liked to use a Mick Mercer book but I couldn't find a library nearby that had any.

My teacher wrote something like "Great paper, very interesting to read" on it. I sent it to some of my undereducated friends too, hah.

I used to draw very dark things in art class. And though it's more about mental illness than any gothiness, I once wrote an essay on how it was to be depressed.

The principle didn't like it much. I got shunted into therapy.

i had to design a floral shop in my horticulture class w/ a partner, and we decided to do a black and white wedding theme. we called it Day and Night, and we made a little display window, one half black the other white. my partner did normal wedding decorations on the white side, but on my side i used dark flower arrangements, lolita style dresses, and other lacy things. it turned out great and it was a fun project but my partner was being unreasonable the entire time and i had to do alot of her work.

Hmmm.
We did this thing in lit a few years ago where we had some pictures of tombstones and we had to write a made up epitph for the person, and conect it with another person's tombstone...thing.
mine was a woman who died in a fire, and a man who lived in the house that burned himself alive.
i forgot to turn them in though.
But my teacher that year was really morbid. Almost every thing we read or wrote was about death.

this year, when we were learning aboyt poetry, i wrote a sonnet about a creepy house that i'm afraid of. with a ghost and everything.
my teacher really liked it xD

One time in college. We had to a gothic art peice, I think I pissed everyone off, because I painted my page black, then using thicker black I wrote Edgar Alan Poe quotes, so at first glance it was all black, but only if it caught the light just so would you be able to read it.

I got full marks.

In high school I had a lot where I could have.
Mainly in technology. We had to make tier gypsy skirts and I amde a red and black one with net, it was a bit new breed/baby bat though.
Erm *thinks* I made a black fabric book cover with sparkly bats on the material.

For art class, we had a project on what our dream room would look like and it had to be in perspective. I basically made a canopy bed with a lace like drapery, then I modeled my walls after my walls in my bedroom, Black and blue. And I drew little webs on the black walls, with a few tiny spiders.

The only times I was able to get away with stuff like that was in art and literature or English for creative writing.

Nah, my school doesn't give out cool homework assignments like that. Just bookwork, essays, and the occasional short story for English. My short stories usually end up pretty twisted though. xd
