What ska has influenced

So we all know that ska brought reggae (which I still have a hard time convincing people), but what else do you guys think it influenced? If ska never existed, how do you think music would be now?

I would be listening to classic punk and rock. Back to the roots of things, baby! Oh, wait...I do that now. Hehe. ((But ska is still #1.))


Probably, a lot of sub genres of punk and rock would be gone. Prolly alot of Big band and swing? Not sure on that last one.

sublime wasn't great or anything. they had a few good songs.

out of their s**t I either listen to A: covers of their songs, not the originals. or B: their cover songs, such as Hope. love the descendents.

side note: VGS did a pretty good cover of caress me down. and I'm not a loser.

I dont know if i would be emo or preppy. I wouldn't have such an amazing boy, I'll tell you that much. I wouldn't be as happy as I am now (statement not totally based on the boy). To me, ska is the only music that can bring me up. My life would be totally different.
