A fairly recent happening in England: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/bradford/7204543.stmI find it kind of odd on both sides. On the one hand I'd never walk onto a public bus with a girl attached to a dog collar, and if I did my comeback wouldn't be to explain my fetish lifestyle because I'm already fully aware its beyond the comprehension of most people I would be arguing with. However, I also think this driver is a p***k and needs to sort himself out.

I think the driver has done anything wrong. If I was going to go public about my fetishes I don't get on a bus in a ball gag and restraints. Even if that's part of it.
Its called consideration. I wouldn't want my kids seeing a man lead a woman around on a chain or lead and know some people would be uncomfortable with it.

Yeah, I'd have to side with the driver. It's just not keen to be displaying sexual tendencies in public transportation, regardless of the group that the person belongs to.
And as an aside, "kind of like a pet..."?

Both partied could have handled the situation better.
The bus driver didn't have to physically push them off the bus and they didn't need to explain fully what they were doing.
Palm it off as a fancy dress costume.

I agree there's a time and a place for bondage, and on the bus isn't it. Then again, this is Arriva. On Arriva buses you get to sit next to every alcoholic in town, who may or may not have washed recently, people screaming abuse at their kids for the entire journey and every other form of degenerate non-life. Its not an ideal enviroment for kids, I don't see these two as being any worse.

I use Arriva buses and other companies alot and were I live that's probably a huge exxageration and I live in a really run down, shitty area. It may not be an ideal environment for kids but these too are no reason to make it any worse. Side note, even in the film The Pet where the girl her owner's pet he doesn't even drag her round ouside the house on a lead.

If the bus driver told them that it was because of safety reasons, and they could come if they removed the chain, their would have ben no problem....

I think the driver might have overreacted, but really, walking around with a chain and collar around your neck in public isn't appropriate (unless it's Halloween. Maybe.)
I'd never do something like that, because I know it's abnormal and can make people uncomfortable. It's pretty aggressive to force others to deal with your alternative lifestyle like that.
