Can someone answer my queries related to Wicca and Paganism?
First, what herbs should I use to protect myself against spells? Second, I'm trying to do a little exercise on how to remember my dreams every night by keeping a dream diary to prepare myself for astral projection. I wanted to wake up after every dream but I can't seem to wake up. Even if I wake up I can't write my dream in detail. What should I do?

Sakura Kaite Pendragon First, what herbs should I use to protect myself against spells? Which spells? Who is casting them? Why are they being cast? Why turn to herbs? Quote: Second, I'm trying to do a little exercise on how to remember my dreams every night by keeping a dream diary to prepare myself for astral projection. Write down the little bits and pieces you can and try to get more next time. There's also the Sylvan Mind Control Technique.

Well, a friends asked my to cast a simple love spell on a guy that she likes. She just wanted to be noticed by him and not to get into a relationship. Plus, another asked me to hex someone who offened her (I as well wanted a bit of revenge from that offender) and I read that there are herbs that could assist and some protects the caster. Sakura Kaite Pendragon Well, a friends asked my to cast a simple love spell on a guy that she likes. Okay- so why is she asking you? Why do your ethics condone this? What effect does this have on your personal and spiritual life? Why is she resorting to spells? What is she doing to help the spell along? What tradition is the spell being drawn from? Quote: Plus, another asked me to hex someone who offened her (I as well wanted a bit of revenge from that offender) Why are you in a position of authority to take these actions for them? What was the nature of the offense? What does your practice's ethnics have to say about this? Quote: and I read that there are herbs that could assist and some protects the caster. Protects the caster from what? And how does a plant plucked from the ground perform or aid in magic? Quote: What's the Sylvan Mind Control Technique. It's the first time I've heard about it. Google is your friend. It's basically a "self hypnosis" technique.

As for the love spell and hex, BAD IDEA BAD IDEA BAD IDEA! If this love spell succeeded and this guy's affections got out of hand, what would stop her from blaming you and ruining your friendship. Besides, if she just wants to be noticed and not have a relationship, why bother with a spell? That sounds like wasted effort.
As for the hex, how do you know the offense is even worth that level of retribution? Those are not things that can be flung around so casually. If anything goes wrong or goes too far, you are the one who will be held accountable for it.
As for herbs for protection, you can probably find a table of correspondence online or in a book.

Boadicia As for the love spell and hex, BAD IDEA BAD IDEA BAD IDEA! If this love spell succeeded and this guy's affections got out of hand, what would stop her from blaming you and ruining your friendship. Why would it be assumed that the spell would cause his affections to get out of hand? Quote: Besides, if she just wants to be noticed and not have a relationship, why bother with a spell? That sounds like wasted effort. That's how I read it too at first. But I am guessing they mean that they want the spell to be designed to give him a chance to notice her, rather than forcing someone to love another. Quote: As for the hex, how do you know the offense is even worth that level of retribution? Those are not things that can be flung around so casually. That depends on the tradition- no? I mean, heaven knows there are many forms of curses. Quote: If anything goes wrong or goes too far, you are the one who will be held accountable for it. Being accountable is not universally a deterrent. Quote: As for herbs for protection, you can probably find a table of correspondence online or in a book. With no instructions typically.

Well to start off, she just wants this guy to notice her without rising suspicion from his very let's say overprotective girl friend. She's very persistent even if I refuse. About that revenge stuff we wanted to get back at her for all the miserable things that girl did to us and to the people around her. She's quite a bully. Not even being frank to her works. It's like the words entered one part of her ear and came out the other side. I know it's against the 3-fold law. Quote: and I read that there are herbs that could assist and some protects the caster. Protects the caster from what? And how does a plant plucked from the ground perform or aid in magic? From what I've read plants have certain properties that could help or smoothen things out.

You know it's funny, my friend asked me to cast it and I repeatedly refused her because it was better to let her do it herself. I haven't done it yet and I wanted to know other's opinion since it's my first time encountering love spells. As for the hex I'm still weighing my chances. I doubt that I'll continue it.

I'm not assuming his affections would get out of hand. However, it has been known to happen. Being aware of the risk is important.
As for the hex thing, I guess it's just a matter of semantics. Would a binding or banishing be considered a hex?
Of course accountability is not a deterrent to many people, but that does not invalidate it.

That'll dictate what herbs you use, as some are poisonous to be injested, some are skin irritants, etc.

TeaDidikai Sakura Kaite Pendragon What's the Sylvan Mind Control Technique. It's the first time I've heard about it. Google is your friend. It's basically a "self hypnosis" technique. Google isn't in this case. I looked it up and there isn't anything besides the selling of self help books.

Sakura Kaite Pendragon Well to start off, she just wants this guy to notice her without rising suspicion from his very let's say overprotective girl friend. So- the guy is with someone, and she doesn't want to stand up and approach him directly because she might have to actually deal with the consequences? This is proper behavior on her part how? Quote: About that revenge stuff we wanted to get back at her for all the miserable things that girl did to us and to the people around her. She's quite a bully. Question- if someone is a bully and is lashing out for whatever reason- do you think making her miserable will stop it? Quote: I know it's against the 3-fold law. Ummmm... not really. Nothing about the three fold law prohibits harm. Even that aside- I have no reason to suspect that such a "law" exists outside of the framework of neo-pagan ideologies. Quote: From what I've read plants have certain properties that could help or smoothen things out. Which things? Help how?

So- the guy is with someone, and she doesn't want to stand up and approach him directly because she might have to actually deal with the consequences? This is proper behavior on her part how? I actually think it was stupid for her to ask for a love spell. She's a strong-willed person but always attracts the wrong guys. Quote: Quote: About that revenge stuff we wanted to get back at her for all the miserable things that girl did to us and to the people around her. She's quite a bully. Probably, just to teach her a lesson Quote: Quote: I know it's against the 3-fold law. Ummmm... not really. Nothing about the three fold law prohibits harm. So that's why I'm taking precautions. Quote: Quote: From what I've read plants have certain properties that could help or smoothen things out. Which things? Help how? Help with spells.
