TeaDidikai patch99329 I'd day an offering is something that does not have any emotional attachement. Perhaps it's a run of the mill thing, and no great amount of thought into it. A sacrifice is something that takes a little more to be offered. For example. I'm going to offer my very favourite amythist necklace to poseidon. I love it to bits. I was once going to throw it into the sea. But realised thats not practical because it'd wash up again immediately xD Could always pay for a ride over the Bar and then chuck it.
Thats a nice idea ^_^ I'd have to find boat rides though ninja

TeaDidikai Starlock Here's a thought. Perhaps the most valuable things one can offer the Sacred is our time, oddly enough. Time studying them, honoring them, etc. In a way, the practitioner themselves is the offer by paying direct serivice to that entity. Or not. Sometimes this takes the form of self service. At a certain point it's like those guys who buy their wife gift cards they are going to use themselves.
True enough. But then could you really call it an offering? I'm not sure I'd call it that if it's made with self-serving motives. sweatdrop
