Otakkun ninja For the benefit of Mr. Kite... watarrmelonz -- I wouldn't call it going back to traditional animation...more going back to traditional musical. Since so little was in animation, I don't really consider it such.
Then again, there were far less songs than I would have hoped. crying
It was still absolutely amazing, though. Fantastic and fantastical.<3 I love all of the songs that were in it! ^__^x
Also, let me express my surprise that Idina Menzel didn't sing. o___o;; I'm not her biggest fan...but that's what she does...she sings! xD!! And same goes to Susan Surandon. She sings as well...and she was in the cartoon world...and she doesn't sing in the movie!
...there will be a show tonight. domokun
Well yes, I do agree, very little of it was traditional animation, but I think it a great thing all the same, as they said they were never going to do another traditional animation in their films. And in the early planning days the movie was going to have 3D animation at the beginning, I shudder to think. But the huge success of this movie has defiantly made Disney see that there is still a market for traditional animation movies where before they had lost that faith. So yay, bring on the Princess and the Frog!
And I so agree. How could they do a homage to their movies without having a villain song? I mean, right there, when she's walking across the crossing, shooting magic everywhere, it would have been perfect and natural to slip in a song for the evil queen. And Nancy should have sung too. If Giselle can go on a date, Nancy can sing a few notes for her true love.
