Teen Pregnancy

I am rather scared to ask this of this particular guild, (in my experiance not many people seem open-minded, although that isnt just in this guild.), but anyways, what are your opinions on teen pregnancy in comparison to adults being pregnant.

I'm pretty open minded when it comes to certain topics.
This topic though, I have to be a little closed minded.
Rellik is right when he says you shouldnt tie yourself down so early.
It depends on what age you are.
Having children out of wedlock is not good. What does that teach your children?
In high school and college you need to focus on school, enjoying your freedoms and taking full advantage of all the things you couldnt do as a child and the things you wont be able to do anymore when you get married and have a family.

I hate to say it but its thowing away alot of opportunities.
Kids=not being able to travel much...nor party.

I had friends who had kids when they were teenagers (not close friends) and they all love thier kids but they regret the time they had them.

I'm very open minded.

My best friend just had a miscarriage.
And they're are like....9 other pregnant chicks at my school.
Teen pregnancy ain't cool.
They just threw they're lives down the drain.
Adults had time to get they're life together & all that stuff.
Teens are still choosing what they want to do with themselves & the ones who are getting pregnant are usually the ones who aren't mature enough to handle kids in the 1st place.
Thats what I think.

this guild:
open-minded and wiling to listen to your part
but we're stubborn in our ideas and opinions, and they're hard to change
even though it seems like we gang up on people, we kind of do, but we'll still gang up on each other.

a great friend of mine is pregnant and she says it's hard and wish it didn't happen. but when you do risj yourself getting pregnant out of marriage, thing of the kid. do you want it to be called a b*****d all the time? do you know the looks he'll get from people knowing it was out of wedlock? its' really not worth it

i don't think you should have sex as a teen but some people do and it could lead to a child......birth control doesn't allways work too i have 2 friends who are proof of that.......so i belive what happens happens and you should just try and make the most of what God gives you.

Yeah that is true.

Besides.....half of America's teens end up having sex at least once before marriage.
No point in telling them "Sex is bad blah blah blah" you may as well tell them to be safe.

I'd have to say that I agree with Rellik San...
It's not like it's hard to get pregnant as a teen, but in all honestly why rush it? Show some self control and just wait...
If you have children you need to be responsible for them and even if you think you're ready for it in your teens you're putting more weight and more responsiblity on yourself than is necesary.
If you plan on getting a good job or going to school or giving your kid a good life you should wait until your late 20's. If you intend on going to college you should finish college too because taking care of your roommate can be as much of a problem as having a kid... imagine both. =P

Some teens can give their kid a good as life as an older person's parents.
