Okay, so last night (the Black Parade anniversary) was my birthday!
And for it, I decided to get new black converse, a ton of Japanese candy,
an mcr shirt from HT, and then I went over to my favorite comic store.
I bought the second volume of the Umbrella Academy, and the dude
asks me, "Have you heard about the variant cover?" , and I replied,
"Oh yeah, the one that Gerard did? I already own that one." he says back,
"Oh no, theres third one. It's by Gabriel Ba, and theres only 1,000 copies in the whole world." so my eyes buldge and I go, "ARE YOU SERIOUS??", and he smiles mischeiviously, and slaps a copy of the limited edition variant cover on the counter and says, "Happy Birthday!"
I just stared happily in shock, and I demanded,
"How much do you want for this???" and he was such a sweetheart,
hes all "Oh theres noo way you're paying for it, we see you here all
the time, and its your birthday, so YOU enjoy it."
AHH, I'M SO HAPPY!
So yeah, the THIRD variant cover is by Gabriel,
and theres only 1,000 in the world...and I own one!
:]
Does anyone else here have one of the 1 in 1,000?
(on the back it says 1 of 1,000 copies, it makes
me feel so special : D)
Oh, and I forgot to mention..
Apparently the third variant cover
will only be sold in select states.
The dude at the comic store that
Gabriel has some association with
Madison, WI, so we were very lucky
to get a few.

I haven't even got the second Umbrella Academy yet because I can tell there are a bunch of comic freaks in my town. <<
So I'm still waiting until the comic store re-stocks. D;
Does it say when the 3rd one is going to come out?

I don't want to be late for it. ]: Hehe, I know, I'm very happy : ) Umm, it usually says on Wikipedia when the next comes out... Oh, sorry xD We have lots of comic freaks too, but Madison also has alot of comic stores, so it restocks pretty quick

I believe Gabriel chooses where they go, but maybe he'll make sure some go to the UK : )
