Okay. So next time you're at the store (or a restaurant, or a vending machine, or where ever) and you're about to buy a box of twinkies or a tub of ice cream, STOP! Look how much the junk food that you were about to buy costs, and remember that number! Then, when you get home, take however much money you were about to spend on food you don't need, and put it in a special jar or piggy bank or something. When you get up to a decent amount of money, go out and buy yourself a reward for resisting all that junk (some clothes, a video game, a book, whatever)!
It could also work like, if you're at a restaurant and you think about getting the 12 oz steak with baked potato but instead you end up getting the grilled chicken with steamed vegetables, the healthy food is often cheaper (and has a smaller portion size) so just figure out what the price difference was and add that to your rewards, too.
I don't know, maybe someone's thought of that before, but I think it would be a good way to get motivated to get rid of the excess food in your diet ('cause contrary to what you'd think, the thought of losing weight is just NOT enough sometimes razz ) and I thought I'd share. 3nodding

I agree!!! That is a -fabulous- idea! For me, it's the little things that are already around the house that I want. So, I may modify that and take the amount of sugars or fats or calories in the particular item I'm resisting and place that number into a jar.
Last night, I wanted a cookie -sooooooooooooooooooooooo- bad. I resisted it, though. So when I get home today, I'm going to look at the amount of calories in there and put that into a jar. Like, every calorie will equal a penny. =3 Which equals to a much larger amount of money for me, since these cookies are 65 cents a pack! XDDD But since it will be my money anyway, I suppose it doesn't matter.
