Name Change Item + Halloween Mansion

So, as of now, the patch isn't finished, but if anyone has looked at the site, or by the time you read this, have seen what I'm talking about...

Well...

First off, the new Name Change cash shop item.

Apparently, we will be able to change our names, and the info gets sent to nexon, and if they wish to, they change the character name upon the next maintenance.

Who will do this, or might?

I was thinking about it, and I'd love to change my name, but I just don't know.

I don't know at all...

Also, the new halloween forest place and mansion in NLC.

Sounds interesting, and I can't wait to check it out.

Oh, but wait...you can't enter the mansion unless you wear a costume from the Cash Shop.

Joy.

Anyone actually going to buy this said costume, or items or whatever?

I personally, probably will later today, when I get home from school.

I might buy a costume. I'll need to see the prices before I give a solid awnser.

I find it funny though, there is going to be so many people who will be pissed off by this.

Only thing I'm pissed about is the patch time. =/ Its basically ruined my mapling time for today. Had they done it tomorrow, it would of been fine, since I don't have school the next day and could stay up to god awful hours.

Oh, and I'm curious about the pumpkin basket. I wonder if it will be an upgraded version. They upgraded it last time, adding the speed. It'd be great if they gave it actually attack power and magic attack.

Change Character Name sounds like a first step in Nexon/Wizet getting the Changer Transfer Service out to us 4laugh I'd love to get it and change my name on MS

I wont be buying a costume just to enter an area on MapleStory, that's really pushing the limits on freeplay in my mind.

They said it will be open to all members once Halloween was over.

So, I just bought a Paper Bag Mask, it was cheap, only 3k.

I had like, 4.6k, so what the hell.

So I do a quick run through the mansion.

Nothing stood out to me, except the Fireplace at the top, when you try to enter it, like you would a portal, it said it was locked...

Oh well.

And yes, the mansion will be open after the event, to everyone.

You can buy a ducky costume package for like, 2.Xk and that will count, I believe.

As for the name change item (10k nx)...this was something to be expected.

The other MMO, Trickster Online, that I play did a Name Change item over the summer, so its obvious Maple would eventually too.

I might do it, but not now.

I don't feel like charging 10 dollars on maple right now, as I'm going to use 15 on Trickster for something.

Well, I need to do more exploration of the mansion later, but I see nothing particularly special about it.

At least I bought the bag because its cool, not just to get into the mansion.

What level do I suggest?

Well, I only did a quick run through.

I'm 64, and it wasn't anything fairly difficult.

Perhaps I'll try again later and see the damage I take and whatnot.

Right now, I'd say, probably 40+?

Most likely 30+.

I bought a black mask.
It looks pretty good, and I could charge $5 that day.
I like the mansion, but it will get old.
I wanted to go in bad..
Anyway, I'm level 70 and it was EASY.
I only noticed Voodoo dolls- Good for training.

Well at least the costume packages are around 800 nx - 2500 nx

Which is pretty cheap if you compare it to how much
they are suppose to be.
They even last for 90 days.

The name changing is kinda of stupid I have to admit.
I mean if someone changed their name you wouldnt be able to reconize
the name anymore and expensive.

Also a new thing was when you log in, on the side, next to back button.
It gives you a button in which you could see all your character's.
One thing was one of my brother's character said it was in Broa but
acutally that character was made in bellocan. Other than that. I think
this idea was good cause your able to see all your characters.

The mansion is probaly good for level 40 and up.
I took my level 31 there and the only things I could kill was
a jack-in-a-box and a ghost. Maybe cause it was a beginner?
On the plus side it will be open to people without coustumes
after halloween. Just to let you guys know. Nothing really great about
it. The only thing I fould to like was the gummy candy's and the stuff
the NPC's give you when you finish their quest. No items found
yet unless a level 15 skirt for bowmen counts.

not sure about the name changes yet .... cherryundies has too much of a ring to it now


the manison is ok .... once you get the key you can go to rooms which have boxes in them.
Break them and you could get blown up... or some candy


the boss is nice too... just need to find the skulls
