How long will it take to notice any results? Not just on the scale, but how long did it take for you guys to notice increased stamina, your clothes fitting looser, or you looked a little different in the mirror?

hmm i noticed after ten lbs, but it also depends on how overweight you are. If you weigh less, it'll take less, if you weigh a lot it will take a while.

i noticed about a month later.
but sadly ynow i got it all back because ive been all stressed
and when i stress i sometimes binge and do nothing.
ever since grad., well hm mayeb since the last 2 weeks of june because of an idiot guy, ive been stressed. but im totally working it
out now smile im kicking back into working out more
and everything..

but i noticed clothing fitting looser after a month..
give or take a few days.

those 30 reps of various crunches got way to easy so i boosted them

Honestly? I think other people notice the change in your appearance long before you do. After I lost five pounds, some people were commenting that my second chin seemed smaller (now that I've lost 50, I don't even HAVE a second chin, woo hoo!) or that my face seemed thinner, or that my shirt wasn't as tight. That's because they didn't see me for a week or two, so they saw 'before' and 'after' that five pound loss. I saw myself in the mirror every day, multiple times, so the changes were so gradual that I didn't notice them at all until I'd hit the 20 pound mark. But other people REALLY noticed, so I know it was doing some good even though I didn't see it myself.

Now that I'm down 50 pounds, I must say, I'm shocked at how different I look. I still recognize myself in the mirror, but I look like my thinner, younger, hotter sister (if I had a sister, I mean). I just went on a cruise, and now that I've got the pictures back, I thought they were of someone else! Sometimes it takes a full-body photograph to show us what everyone else already sees.

It really just depends on what you're doing to lose weight. A lot of people get disappointed when they start lifting weights because you really do bulk up a bit before slimming down when you start out that way, and also the scale will read larger numbers because muscle weighs more than fat.. so, also like what Divash said, others will probably notice the difference before you do.

It's been like 20lbs for me, and I haven't noticed any huge differences... but I think it really depends on 1. how your body reacts to weight loss, 2. what kind of weight you're losing (make sure you're losing fat and not muscle!), and 3. how much you had to lose in the first place. Like, if you started off at 350 lbs, even 50 lbs won't make THAT much of a visual difference, but if you started off at 200 lbs and lose 50 lbs, it would make a really big difference. 3nodding

fitness: it will depend how old you are. If you are teens, twenties, every fortnight will bring a noticable difference.

scales: if you are loosing more than a kilo per week, you are going too fast. Remember, just as long as you continue until you've reached a healthy BMI, slow and steady will win the long term race.

shape, happiness with body: more likely to be affected by psychological factors. Explains why some days I'm unbearable and others I'm ok.
