The group 2NE1 is formed in 2009 with four members Dara, Bom, Minzy and CL.
2NE1 made their fame by featuring in the digital single "Lollipop" before their official debut.
"Lollipop" was ranked #1 in a Korean online music chart.
The meaning of the group name 2NE1 came from the pronunciation of the number 21, and also NE in the middle stands for "New Evolution."
The overall meaning of the group name stands for "New Evolution of the 21st Century.
