What's the first detail you start drawing?

I start with the eyes, then the face, then the head and work my way down.

I sketch the shape of the head, draw the eyes in, then here comes the nose, and then underneath that the mouth is formed, then I draw the hair, shape the face better, then draw the body smile

I start with either the face or the eyes first... depending on what style my drawing will be...

For detail I usually start with the face, for both people and animals. But when putting down the skeleton I start with the shoulders or hips.

I always start with the shape of the head. If I'm drawing a base I'll draw the shapes of the head, and work my way down. Then once I've gotten my shape I start with the eyes, then mouth, nose, hair and probably clothes. After when I'm "done" I'll always make touch ups and then re-do anything if I need to.

Eyes are my favorite feature of the face. I always start with the eyes, then the nose, mouth, faceshape, hair, and then i just work my way down.

The face is done randomly at some point.
I don't really plan out how it's going to go til I'm done.

One good art teacher I had in college said
If you are drawing a face and finish the eyes first. Now the rest of the face needs to catch up, and will not have the same quality, definition, and devotion of the artist, as the eyes. Not to mention, having to go back could potentially mess up, or ruin what was completed first.

To remedy this. Again if your working on just a face. Draw the shape of the head and the jaw first. Then place the nose, mouth, eyes, and ears roughly. Then maybe the hair.
