The Rose Garden [Masquerade Ball]

As you step past the golden gates and stone gaurdians, all your troubles are swept away by the mello symphonies of a small orchestra, mixing in with the grandios fountain whose light bursts of spray toss a bright spectrum into the air when the mist hits the glow of the laterns.
With you in your mask you are a complete stranger to everyone as they are to you. Your worst enemy could be the man who is inviting you to the bar to sit down and have some drinks.

The labrynth they have walked you through to get here now seems all the more endless as you gaze around the area enclosed by wild roses over ten feets high and tangled against iron bars.
The bar is bright and festive and people drink and laugh and have a merry time. Then there are the couples who sway on the cherry wood dance floors, holding each other tight and barely muttering a word, lost in the moment of perfection.

The lounge is just a little ways off in the distance, under a marble shelter as people sit around on silk cushions and mats, some trying to sober up if they're not knocked out, others just to settle and calm from all the excitement.
And then atop the staircase leading to the mansion...you see Her.

Miya Karugasaki, the hostess of this party and Endless Masquerade. She is to eventually be wed by law of her parents and as she stands in the open air, you shiver---her silhuoette carved out by light of the Full Moon. She stands stop the stairs singing to a Raven parched somewhere near her willow tree. In her right hand she holds a rose and her wings flutter- bored as she watches the ongoings. Tonight may just be her night...to find love...to find happiness...will that special someone be you?

Hello all and welcome to my little Chat Room and Roleplay. Here is the deal, this place is nothing special really...just your average place to hang out and meet new people, BUT there are rules (somewhat). I would like to think of this place as a minor roleplay...do not worry you do not have to be literate.

Bio: And Angel Imp and Owner of the Rose Gardens where this Masquerade is held. She is daughter to big stock holders and business owners who are forcing her to wed. Thus she has held this party to find the person of her dreams.
She lives for all the beauty in the world and the mystery of it. She believes deeply in love at first sight, thus she chose a Masquerade to prove it. Will this be her lucky night?
Very dark at first sight, she is tender and very frail. But she stands strong for what she believes in and will fight for it, no matter whom she is pitted up against.

Miya walked down the stairs and let out a sigh as she watched couples swaying under the light of the Moon.
There were no clouds to be seen in the sky and by now the party had been opened to all who could arrive in a semi-fashionable state. She had already danced with over half the guests and none had met her fancy...
though proper...they were all just as rish as she was, and money grubbers to boot...

She had no use for such ugly people. They could never bring her true happiness. Nor give her what she truly seeked.
