Here I'd like it if you posted a bit about yourself. I'll start.

I go by Solar. I'm an Australian Social Work student and published writer. I live with my partner who is also a social work student, two housemates, and my ginger cat, Raj. I enjoy arts and crafts such as drawing and sewing.

I'd really like to get to know some of you so please, don't be shy.

What motivates you to write?

Hmm, where to start? Stage fright, I guess. I am jelly or jellykans, I Captain a zOMG clan, Heartfire, and I love Gaia. I have a very stuffed profile which gives a lot of details. I have many irl interests, of which cooking and writing are two.

maybe I should sleep and do this in the morning, ah well. I can sneak in and 'fix it up' later, yes? But we both know I won't.

I'm PK. I'm likely to be pretty inactive. I live in the Midwest and do PR and marketing from my lovely apartment, as well as occasional freelance editing and web design, usually for wine or pedicures. I like folklore and research and medical accuracy, and am pursuing reciprocity for my Emergency Medical Responder license. I've been on a fanfiction kick for months, because I've been deeply discontent with my original fiction. I've finished a couple novellas and innumerable short stories and poems, but they've not been published anywhere by anyone else, because I keep submitting to The New Yorker and Strange Horizons and they haven't wanted me yet. I write mostly speculative fiction, with a heavy emphasis on drawing from existing myth.

Okay, I'm Seli. In real life, I'm actually about to get my named changed and then you can call me Melanie... or you can just do that now so I can get used to it. I love to write but as of late, I haven't been able to. I can't type up stories, I have to physically write them down, and I've developed carpel tunnel (I think you spell it like that) in my wrist and now it hurts to much to write. Ugh.
I have two wolves, an English Mastiff, and a rot weiler mix just showed up the other day and we are now taking care of him. We also have three cats.
Since I haven't been able to write, I've been playing my instruments more and more... I play guitar and piano, but I play the piano much more and much better.
Uh what else? I freaking love anime.
I'm about to graduate high school (a year early I might add)... Well that's all i can think of. Anything else, just ask!
