55 magic symbols

Who would want to use such hideously complicated symbols?

Not going to lie...looked at some of these symbols...and the only thought related to magic was "Hey...these would be some great symbols for a Magic: the Gathering expansion set."

Then again, I'm a bit of a geek so perhaps I'm biased.

At least veves are pretty. razz

I suppose it's not just that these ones are hideously complicated... it's that they're hideous and complicated.
They also suffer from gradient abuse, horrible draftsmanship, and poor construction (just look at the inability to properly align the octagons in "Unknown"). That, and some of them make no sense to me, like "uplifting" pointing to the right.

I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry that one of my blog posts is being discussed on paganspace.

I made rank!

I have officially been frocked, my crows are on my Service uniform and I have the certificate next to my division photo.

I'm trying to figure out names for my crows now, lol. The obvious passed my mind.

Holy crap! The "hey guys, we need to actually think about this" moment has actually started. The members of my Belegarth subgroup are discussing what it means for us to be Roma in a fantasy setting in the face real people and real oppression.

The stuff I tried bringing up YEARS ago might actually go somewhere!

That's awesome Nuri. ^_^

Sort of in the same topic. It seems 4/5 of my classes have something or everything to do with colonialism and/or imperialism, meaning, I get to be depressed and angry at long dead white people. All the while shocked at how some things haven't changed.

I learned that the US Post Office once had postcards with pictures of lynchings on them. Lynchings! It blows my mind the things that are "accepted" in this world.

Also, getting to read Aime Cesaire and Frantz Fannon in my Francophone Africa class, and in my Native American Cultures I'm going to read Ceremony by Leslie Silko here soon.

So much to read and learn I'm afraid my head will burst.

Right, so, back to lurking. ninja

@Nuri: Is it bad that I've never heard of PaganSpace before that conversation?

Fundies, they are so funny: they assume that if a Satanist said it, and if it supports the fundamentalist agenda, it MUST be true!

It's not, y'know, like Satanists could be as prone to error in theology and philosophy or anything else. Apparently, Satan is a lot better about telling his followers things than Yahweh. razz

I am amused.

Pagan Spirit Gathering lost their campsite. They went searching for a new one. They picked Stonehouse. The campsite run by a member of Belegarth and where I go to and run events at yearly.
