[Kitsune Thistletree]

Kindlepaw walked over to the apprentice's den and sniffed around for Sharppaw's nest. She found it and placed the mouse in it. "Wow...." she mewed in awe as she stared around, realizing it was the first time she had entered the apprentice den. She shivered with excitement at the thought of starting her training. "I wonder when it will start..." she wondered, sitting down and licking her front paw. "Oh right... Sharppaw," she yelped, getting up and running towards the medicine cat den. When she got there she saw Sharppaw looking down. She proceeded to pouncing Sharppaw softly as to not aggravate her wounds and biting her ear playfully. "Cheer up!" she mewed happily.

Sharpaw lifted her head slowly and looked at the apprentice with worry in her eyes.

"What is the matter?" she asked, tilting her head curiously in Sharppaw's direction.

Firesong stopped just short of the den. She hated to eavesdrop, but didn't want to walk in on a conversaton, either.

Flamekit was in the nursery. "Mama!" she called. Nobody came.

"Mama?" still, nobody came.

"I feel so worthless,"Sharpaw said with a sigh.

Firesong winced. So that was it. Sharpaw was upset about the badger attack and her fight. There wasn't anything she could do, she knew that. Se padded into the den and roped off her second load of herbs. "Feling beter, Sharpaw?" She sorted out a few herbs and pulled off the poulstice she had placed on Sharpaw before. "Doesn't look bad; don't think I even need to place a second dressing. You can go if you want. When your feeling up to it, you may want to do some training. You've been laying here for quite a while, so the exercise should do you good!"

Kindlepaw glanced at Firesong and then at Sharppaw, remembering how bad she had felt when she realized she herself was useless in the badger attack, and had been unable to save Sharppaw from being hurt. She shook her head and blinked sympatheticaly to Sharppaw. "Yeah, Firesong is right, you should do some training. Maybe you can teach me a couple of moves while you are at it. I haven't begun my training yet, and I don't want to look like a complete idiot," she purred, her whiskers twitching with amusement as she walked up to the entrance of the den. "And cheer up! Otherwise, Blazepaw will have my whiskers," she added, flicking her tail towards Sharppaw so she would get up.

Flamepaw trotted out of the den. She looked around the camp. "I can't wait to be an apprentice. What kind of apprentice, though?" she thought. She looked toward the leader's den and wished that she could be leader.

"That's it! I will be a warrior apprentice!" she thought. But first, she wanted to ask her leader what she thought about it.

Dewpool sat by the Fire pool, spacing out "when" she asked herself "i cant fight when i have kits on the way"

Sharpaw slowly got up on her paw then flinched and limpped over to Kindlepaw by the entrance.
