There's nothing like kicking one's own a** for the hope that it eventually makes a difference.

This week I started up the 100 Pushups Challenge, 200 Situps Challenge, and 200 Squats Challenge. Second day in, with possible Bronchitis on the way, and I enjoy the squats. Really enjoy the squats. The pushups kick me in a way I like after. The situps...how I loathe situps!

rofl You just had me burst out laughing in the middle of my office rofl

Then I count that as another win in my life. The world aught have more laughter.

Quote:
In all seriousness, they are far smarter then most humans give them credit for. I had a little escapee live for 6 months in our apartment and we didn't even know he was there. My husband droped him when he was so young, he shouldn't have been able to survive without his mom, but he did. Most intelligent mouse I've met. He avoided the cats by only moving under the base board heater, and under our furniture. They ony caught him once and that's only cause we got up early and let the cats out of the bedroom. I don't think he was expecting that, he was drinking out of the cats water dish.

Bravo on that. 3nodding

Saint Dreya, I've found that it tends to have positive effects, even if the road is not the most pleasant at first.

It's a fun job, at least the breeding and management portion. The euthanasia and tissue collection, not so much. But every job has it's good and bad parts.

It's pronounched she-ARE-ha, with a slight roll on the R. But I answer to your pronounciation as well wink
I just wonder what sorts of schooling you need to go through to get a job like that. I figure vet stuff, but anything else?

I'm a veterinary technician, but I'm hoping to get back to school and finish my Biology Bachelors. Most jobs require at lest a Bachelors degree, I've only got an Associates sweatdrop

Could I do a job like that with just a biology bachelors, or would I also have to go the vet field?
I've been thinking to major in biology, but then I couldn't think of what kinds of jobs I could get with it..

Yes, you can work in research with a Bioloy Bachelors. I got my VT first and got in with the facility working in Veterinary Services. I got the colony management job because of my work experiance combined with my VT. Really to work in husbandry, at least where I work, all you need is a HS Diploma. From there you can get different certifications that require experiance in the field and some labs will hire based on experiance alone. I actually just got my Authorization to Test letter for my second tier exam biggrin sweatdrop biggrin

@ Calixti: You can't be a Vet Tech with just a Bio degree, you still have to go through specialized classes and pass the National Board exam, then the requirements to work vary from state to state.
You can be a Vet Tech with a Boi degree, but that's just icing on the cake.

I want to go back to school, finish my Bio degree and then continue on and get a Bachelors or Masters in Genetics.

That's what I'm finding. Yes, the max isn't quite as much as what my initial numbers were, but I'm also working with physical exhaustion and far more reps before maxing out.

Either way, this is all so I can meet my requirements for situps and kill my requirements for pushups. The squats, well, I miss my beautiful thunder thighs and all their glory of being able to lift more than half the guys I know.

Wasn't asked. I always thought you tried to include family in the wedding party, but meh. I will live. Now I won't need to buy a dress and all that s**t.

I had never thought about it before.. I dunno, just strikes me as typical.
The only person in our family who had a role at all in her wedding was my dad, and that was walking her down the aisle. (is that right? makes me think of shopping..)
I was "too old" to be a flower girl and "too young" to be a bridesmaid. So her friends played those roles instead. Just kinda typical, thinking about it and how my sister is in general.

*shrugs* Less to worry about, having to just sit there, and more to enjoy, eating the after wedding foods..

nuri: Maybe they're afraid you'd outshine the bride? whee

Being fit is it's own reward in many respects.
Exhaustion and muscle failure work outs will work to improve stamina significantly, altho mayhaps not strength as much.
What was your old lift capacity, if I might?

As for wedding staffing, for family I've performed Ring-bearer and musician services, but far less. seems that out sourcing, outside of the clan is more common.
