Poe, sorry to hear about your break up. It's really good that you feel like you learned a lot. When I look on past relationships I see myself at different stages in the process of my personal growth as a human being. Even the shitty ones, and especially the shitty ones, taught me something I needed to know. Hope the loneliness doesn't get too bad, but it's especially at these times that I value my friends even more.

In other news, I put my avatar in the arena! Link in my sig. I would love it if you guys voted/ commented. I know I won't win because it's not an anime cosplay, but I just really like it and thought that compared to past interpretations of Bast in the arena, mine looks pretty good. 4laugh

Poe, sometimes it requires time to transform poison into medicine. In retrospect, some of the worst things that happened to me at the time ended up being the best things in the greater scheme. May the brewing be as swift and prosaic as possible.

That's what I try to do. It gets rid of regrets and offers lessons and growth instead. Which is sort of important to an Etherist. XD

Thank you. I've already gained immense amounts of strength from what I survived from my abusive partner so many years ago. The fact that this breakup was on friendly terms in a relationship that wasn't bad for my health, just not workable, is making it a lot easier to be positive about.

Well then, may it continue to go smoothly. 3nodding

My dance class saved me from what was going to be a horribly shitty day today. Things never let up, even when I try looking for the good. If I weren't me, I'd be a pessimist.

Husband is learning, instead of taking his frustration at not getting into the class he needs out on me or himself, he's taking it out on the houseworking, cleaning into submission.

But class? Class is amazing. We ended in corpse pose after a long session of flexibility, strength and grace training, and it was like the earth went up two stories and swallowed me whole.

My girlfriend finally wrote me back after more than two weeks! She said it took her time to process the long e-mail I sent last. sweatdrop

We talked about Tao and Buddhism and my family. I'm on cloud nine. I'm deliriously happy hearing from her.

I had a dream last night where small animals were merging with statues of Greek gods, then taking on the form of those gods.

Then, I told you guys about it.

Well the second part was real, so clearly the first part must be.

So late last night, I found out that the Westboro Baptist Church, home of Fred Phelps and creators of godhatesfags.com and godhatestheworld.com, were planning on coming to a soldier's funeral this morning to protest in their typically detestable fashion. My friends and I immediately mobilized, organizing a small counter-protest, staying up until 5 am making signs and informative fliers and such. Come 8, we were so ready to stand quietly and express our disgust. My sign said "God Loves All" on one side and I wrote out 1 John 4:20 (He who says, "I love God," yet hates is brother is a liar.) on the other. They never showed up. On the one hand I'm really happy about that, that my town never had to deal with these people. I live in the middle of redneck territory, and I was afraid someone was going to whip their asses for disrespecting a soldier. On the other, I've never seen my friends down here unite spontaneously to handle something like they did last night, and I was really proud of them. I wish their labor had come to fruition.

It's too bad that it didn't work out, but that's pretty awesome.

Now you're all prepared for the next time it happens.

He threatened to come to Monterey once.
Then he was shown the exact wording of Monterey county's gang laws, which his cult falls squarely under, including the police's non-interference policy in gang wars, and for some reason didn't shown up.
