I miss her. I think she might have left gaia for awhile, I dunno.

Hey guys, I need your support: I just applied for a new position at work -- in Systems, granting and removing access. It is a long shot because I don't already work in systems.

But I'm very well suited for it, and well, I could use an additional 6-10k a year, couldn't you? We're dead a** broke again. (ahh, summer)

Send good thoughts, prayers, whatever, towards me and my chances of at least getting an interview. Enough to get through the FAIL aura surrounding us right now.

I asked God to carry some good energy from me to you, I hope that was ok. I'm not able to do such a thing myself, and I didn't want to ask my God to directly get involved seeing as how I don't know whether you or your gods would appreciate it, so I hope what I asked was permissable.

I'm trying to get it to happen elsewhere, but can I just tell people not to respond to Barry here? Like at all? I know some of it is well meaning (looking at you Wrath), but believe me, I talked to this guy for like three years. You're feeding his ego by acknowledging his very existence. Don't talk to him at all, You're doing better for everyone in the long run.

Barry is still here? WHere?

He's back in M&R, this time trying to pretend that Sartre isn't in opposition to Catholocism. Oh, and calling Nuri fat.

Also Deo. We can go be fatasses together I suppose. I just report and move on. This is just another harassment in a very long line of them.


As for where Tea is: Teadidikai is taking a break from Gaia. She's alright, I talk to her regularly and hopefully will be visiting her soon.

He's probably on some kind of self-righteous 'I lifted weights and got thinner/buff, why don't you all live up to my same standard' kick. Happens when people thin down in a lot of cases. They believe that because they did something like this, that everyone should - even if everyone doesn't need or want to.

Well, I've avoided talking about this bacause I didn't want to jinx it but....

It's now official. I have gotten the part-time job doing colony management! Whoo-hoos all around. It's been a strugle, HR couldn't find record of my current employment, then didn't want to let me work more then 40 hours a week, but it's all been worked out. All that's left to to be added to the protocol and I start Monday!
Hello 50 hour work week and all the money that comes with it.
One of the great things is that this is a new lab and a growing one. If I do well and enjoy the work it has the potential to become a full time job, or even spread out and work with other PIs managing their colonys.

I know that feeling. Somehow even with hubby and I both working full time we can't afford to move out of his mothers house.
