I don't see 'em. Adblock plus, web of trust, and the inability of firefox as I have it set up to play scripts I haven't okayed without my knowing mean I never know they're there. xd
I have adblock plus, WOT, and noscript also, and I still see them. You might just not go to the pages they're on.

They're in signatures, or hidden in the post. If you look into the source code for the url given that's requesting the information, you'll usually be able to find who is posting it. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to determine that though.. It says the user ID number above it in the code.

Go to your profile, then replace the number in the address bar where your number is. Tadah?

I'm not sure I trust the test Bastemhet, it directly contradicted what I have from a physical examination. It seems there is some guess work on the part of the program if two doshas are notably stronger than the third.

I don't trust it either. I took the test but then when I looked around the rest of the site it looked like a big woo woo money making machine. Ah well, maybe it's something to look into once I have the money to worry about this kind of thing.

No, something's keeping me from seeing them for certain - I've been on pages that contain them on my husband's PC, then checked them on my own. They don't show up on mine. If it isn't one of those things I cited I have no idea why, but they just don't happen here.

See I had thought of that, but what if their profile is private? Would it tell you their username still?

I don't know. It's like I have NEVER seen ads on Gaia before, even before I got adblock plus and a proxy that blocks ads. Noone can explain that to me either.

So during my transportation enforced day off yesterday (hubby accidentally took the car keys with him leaving me unable to get to work) I watched most of the first season of Torchwood. I gotta say I'm loving it! I'm nearly head over heels for Cpt. Jack Harknes, the actor reminds me of a younger Tom Curise, before he got caught up in scientology. How many seasons of this show are there? 'Cause I think I'm going to need to watch them all now.

Three. Third one's a five-episode miniseries. I haven't heard any word on if/when a fourth will air. sad

I've been watching Carnivàle and Party Down lately. smile Preparing for a Battlestar Galactica smackdown as soon as the bluerays are available via netflix. That's my s**t right there.

I love Firefly as well Brass biggrin I'm a gritty sci-fi fan.

I love the Carnivale. I just wish we got the rest of the story...it depressingly got canned after two seasons, meaning they only covered 1/3 of the story. And HBO, being bastards, won't let the guy who wrote it put it out in another format for us. crying

I know sad I noticed immediately when I started season 2 that it seemed... rushed? compared to season 1. The pacing just seemed off.

That actually wasn't because of the cancellation - they didn't even know it was going to be canned until after the last ep was filmed, from what I read.

HBO execs tinkered with it, though, mainly in characterization and plot subtexts - that's why Justin goes from morally tortured soul wrestling with his faith to outright monster REALLY quickly. It was originally supposed to happen over a longer stretch of time, and be much more subtle, but they demanded a much clearer good vs evil line be drawn and a lot of the wacky subtext come out of the show entirely.

Far as I'm concerned, they can jump in a lake. I like the way it was, and I want to see the rest of it. biggrin

I found an online Bible Code searcher. For the lulz, I decided to search for the craziest things I could think of. So I entered "God had sex with Jesus."

There are 756 results. burning_eyes

There are also 347 results for "Jesus was from Mars run," and 15 results for "Jesus was Dalek."

Again, I boggle at those who take this... uh, interesting form of divination seriously.

So I have a close friend who's a Baptist Christian. Great gal. Love her like a sister.

So she's telling friends this story about some girl's conduct at her church. Climax of the story was about the girl (Who's 16 or 17) Asking for a guys (Who's 25) number and when asked why she wanted it made riding motions.

But...
A minor part in the story gave me a whopper of a headache.
Supposedly the girl is the type who comes to church to be proved wrong. She's, as my friend put it, into Pagan gods and such...

Right there I wanted to do one hell of a head-desk.

I wish people would use common sense. She's not in a classroom discussion or online. She's in a BAPTIST CHURCH. She was invited there. And supposedly she does this all the time.

So tonight I asked my friend for her number. Maybe she's not so bad as my friend described.

My friend's reply "Hm. I'll think about it." So now I know that this girl has put a bad taste in my friend's mouth. My friend knows I'm Pagan but we rarely talk about it (Simple curteousy. But it's kept us friends for years) so now I feel like I should be explaining that not all Pagans are like that girl was but I don't even know where to begin. And to be honest, with a few weeks left of highschool. I don't think I want to try.

I just wish some people would use their noggins and have respect for other's faiths. We all doubt other's faiths- we doubt our own. Its called being human. But I would die from embarassment if I did what that girl did.

confused

Has anyone ever had this type of experience?

Oops stressed Put this in the wrong thread. Sorries @.@

My altars are finally up. Finally.

I put that off for far too long. (and we are just going to say that the lopsided altar cloth is purposefull)
