So I didn't get my religion column, however I'm going to write an investigative series on how religion affects students. And the word limit is larger than if I wrote a column! HA!

Apparently, while I went away for the discussion, there was a rage war brewing in the room. I was away for 10 minutes while they were discussing this. xD rofl

Went to the local UU yesterday and I can say that I adored the service. However, I'm a little apprehensive about the pagan's study group. This week they're talking about Indigo/Crystal children. I think that is all a bunch of hullaballoo. Wooskepticwoo.

HAHAHAHA OH MY GODS. You will not believe this.

So, I had a few controversial videos on my YouTube account back in the day. They're gone now, but I'm still up and running.

Just now I was looking through her videos and wanted to know why in one of them she recommends the Temple of Witchcraft series by Christopher Penczak...but leaves out the one on "high witchcraft" (stuff that incorporates Qabalah and the like). And I wanted to know why she is SO hostile to Christianity. She hates the Rider-Waite deck because of the Devil card ("The devil card has no place in a pagan/Wiccan deck. We don't believe in the devil.") and because it is "filled with Christian symbols" (only citation was a cross on the chest of the High Priestess).

When I hit "post," it turns out that I cannot comment on her videos BECAUSE SHE BLOCKED ME.

At least she sticks to her word that she doesn't tolerate critical thinking thoughtful debate an absence of complete agreement with her views.

Edit: HA. I just sent her a message. Apparently those still work. I was nice. Let's see what she says.

From what it looks like, anything she says is going to be hidden in a mess of capitalized words, heart icons, and word salad.

I think that she is either going to ignore me entirely or say that I vibrate at a low level or something along those lines.

Yesterday we got the delivery of books and stuff that are on hold for our patrons...one person ordered a copy of Teen Witch. this patron is a grown man who I assumed, from our previous library interactions, was a fairly rational person...I really hope he's doing some sort of...journal article on fluffy consumerism or something. I really hope that's it.

I can't stand passing by that book on the shelf every day. blech.

Does this individual have children? It's possible that he requested it for one of his kids or neice or grandkids. I know my mother used to request books for me all the time when I was a kid. Our local library didn't give out cards until you were 16.

Maybe you should talk to the guy the next time you see him (you don't need to be preachy). Librarians talk to me all the time...

I swear, I've never seen a copy of that or any of SRW's other books on the shelves of any bookstore or library except the uber-large one in downtown Toronto.
