Newt cringed as the trunk closed over her, sending noise echoing through the space. "Well, what's he going to do now." She scooted around so he feet were pressed against one of the lights, then kicked with as much force as she could. Smash!! The tail light fell out, giving her a window. When she looked out, she saw Daniel fast diapearing. As her wound bled, strenth seemed to leave her. Finally, she so trired she couldn't hold her head up anymore. Her vision went fuzzy. Then everything went black.

Daniel reacted as fast as he could. He sprinted for the Firebird, started it after recovering his keys from under the seat. He floored it, fish-tailing back onto the track. He was maybe 50 feet from Logan's Mustang and pushing past 110. He saw one of Logan's tail lights fall out, Nice. He caught up to Logan, now at 120.

Daniel was slowing even before he saw Logan stop. He had it again. That sence that of happyness from somewhere. No... I'm such a fool... Daniel closed his eyes as the flames engulfed him. His car was being pushed apart from the explosion.

Newt was standing in her favorite place on the earth. The words 'Welcome to Las Vegas' shone through the darkness of the night. The whole city was in front of her, and all of the people she'd left were standing around the sign. "We miss you. Come back." She smiled and tried to take a step forward, but something grabbed her ankle sending flying towards the perfect lawn. She looked back, ready to kick the a** of whoever was there, but it wansn't a human. It was a card, like from 'Alice in Wonderland'. There was a complete deck standing behind it. They all leaped forward,pulling her away. She screamed, but none of her friends came forward to help. One card came up in particular came forward, the seven of hearts. It fell on her, smothering her... she couldn't breath... she was dying.
Newt gasped and woke, soaked in sweat. Something was making the trunk of the car scorching hot. there was a small metal flake lodged in her leg where it had been next to the hole where the tail light used to be.

Daniel's eye flyed open, see Logan approching. He couldn't move, he was a piece of toast now. "Why are you doing this? Why are you killing us?" Daniel had been wondering for years.

Newt closed her eyes tight, but she could still smell the burned flesh. This was like being in a horor movie, only you couldn't turn it off of pause it to go get some popcorn. Logan sounded like he wasn't paying too much attention, so she opened her eyes, keeping them locked on her feet. She gabbed the peice of metal that was in her leg adn sliced the duck tape with it. Fast as lightning she ran past him, sprinting toward her car. Once she arrived, she opened the door and slipped in, locking it behind her.

Newt screamed and jumped when Logan tapped on her window, then stilled and listned. She almost didn't want to leave the car, keep her memory of Daniel as it was. But she opened her door anyway. Fear seemed to be running through her blood. Without looking down, she walked until she sensed she was about six inches from him. Her eyes flicked down finding him covered in third degree burns. She knelt next to him, and put her hands on either side of his neck, careful not to touch him. She put her mouth next to his ear. "Please don't say you love me. You shouldn't say things you don't mean." Then she pulled away and kissed him as gently as she could, hoping she wasn't hurting him.

All of a sudden Daniel had an angel standing over him, "Your so funny." He tried his best to laugh, but couldn't. "I'm sorry I played with your emotions know this was coming." Daniel felt so ashamed, he reached his hand to touch the side of her face lightly.He gave a weak smile and looked at Logan sitting smugly on the hood of the Mustang. Then back at Newt. "When Logan is done hurting his head of our daggers I want you to have mine. Logan won't want it, he hates that shade of green... Stay beautiful, Newt."
