I'm solitary again.

I'm a little sad (covenmates are *such* great people) but I think this is the best thing for me now. I'm taking a much-needed break and need some self-time.

Some of my schoolmates and I hosted a intercollegiate interfaith conference (had some people from Yale, Stanford, and Princeton...legit). Connecting to Hindus and a really awesome guy (who identified as Druid, and I talked to him about cultural misappropriation of the title, but otherwise he was really amazing) made me really think about all the things that were lurking in the back of my mind for a while. I think I am better off on my own than studying under a group. I need full independence at the moment.

Bah.

You know what sort of sucks, feeling sick, but having enough energy to do things, so I feel guilty about using a sick day.

Everyone needs a break Nuri, enjoy the day anyways. It's already done, so there's no point in worrying over it. Besides, there are people who use sick days when they're completely healthy.

That was my plan yesterday. Take a mental health day (very important since until april 15th, we aren't allowed to take vacation days) but it was ruined by actually getting sick.

Now that I'm starting to feel better, I'm working on coursework for work. I have a test coming up early next month.

I'm in Ohio, so it's not as bad as DC or anything, but sheesh. We've had more snow so far this year than our previous record from 1910.
