What has the DM told you about the upcoming game?

He made his own world. The geography of the world is mostly water with many islands (large and small) scattered about. Each island's cultures vary greatly since travel is limited. Can't be any extravagant race. I'm thinking maybe something like a half-minotaur cleric or a tiefling warlock or druid, but Idk, I want to try to think a little more outside of the box.

Define extravagant. Half minotaur may fall into it, if it's 'exotic' - he may want you in the base races. Or even just human.

My dad thinks buying only 100% grass-fed beef is "gross."

Why gross? I know it's not all marbled and melting with extra fat all in the meat but... well that's unnatural anyway.

Apparently, in all his time raising livestock in his childhood he "ain't never seen no cow fed grass." LOL.

I wouldn't mind so much if he wasn't full of it/just being difficult.

Oh he's already said I could use something like that. As long as the level adjustment isn't too high and I can incorporate it into the game he's fine with it. And we're using 3rd edition. Namely 3.5

Move out farther west and it shifts a bit. Places in Montana and the like have more grass grazing land.
