Chanthar Little Normandy Whoohoo Chanthar! Still pumping out stories like there's no tomorrow! You are truly a writer. Law of the Horde sounds really interesting- just that title catches my attention. Good luck with it! smile Lol thanks ^^' Law of the Horde takes place just after Rae & Danny's series. It focuses on the other side of the world and the development there. The group goes from a ragamuffin set of clans to a mighty new country. It's totally distracting me from finishing Rune & Viki's series.. oops Law of the Horde Update Date: 2/13/12 Word Count: 63,700 Page Count: 155
That sounds really, really, cool. I love stories that take place in a kingdom-type setting. I also think its awesome when authors write different stories in the same world- like J.R.R. Tolkien. And don't even get me started on distractions... at least you're still writing something productive. I spent an hour yesterday writing something I'm never going to go back to. Are Rune and Viki part of this same world?

Chanthar Heh, thanks.. Actually right now every book I've written is part of the same world. I gave myself about three thousand years to play with. I have the kingdoms before the Shakti Takeover and those created after. Danny & Rae's stories happen at the end of the first destruction of the known world. (The King of Tallis goes nuts becoming King Shakti and destroys all but two kingdoms) Rune's Story covers much longer than a normal life span..she gets granted such by the spirits.. So her story takes place during her series and during (but not in) the Drag Shergi Mystery series (starts about 1942 our time) and through Viki's series (Viki's series starts out around the year 2000 in our time). I might eventually end up chasing characters who meet other characters that end up starting from the beginning with Danny & Rae's series and ending with whatever series becomes the end of the world (in entirety) I love J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis.. They are two of my main inspirations Heh a lot of times I run into writing things I just can't use.. I think I can at the time but it's some odd tangent..
Three thousand years? That, right there, is awesome. I think its the most fantastic thing when an author keeps their stories in the same world. As a reader it is so cool to be able to make the connection between all the books. I used to play around with my own ideas of an alternate world... but I could never come up with anything better than this world. However, its been five or six years since that, and now I think I might try again... But then again, I shouldn't be distracting myself from my current novel. I'll put it on the back burner for now. smile I love C.S. Lewis. And I've never read Tolkien's books, but I loved the LOTR movies (I know there are always differences between book and movie, but I feel like the LOTR movies were pretty damn awesome anyway). Have you ever read Brandon Sanderson or Robert Jordan? I haven't, but my dad has and they are his favorite authors, right up there with Tolkien.
