ADD makes everything ******** hard. I always wondered why everyone had an easier time than me doing basic tasks.
Srsly. My therapist decided it might be a good idea to make a note to my psych about possible ADD meds when I told her I can't concentrate on any one thing for more than few minutes (yay internet!), so I may wind up medicated soon for depression, anxiety, AND ADD. xp

Assuming I can get in to see the psych before January, since my last appointment was cancelled due to campus closing. >.>

I should probably get meds for the anxiety but I can't really afford much what with estrogen eating my money.

squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I are graduate!

To whomever decided to lend me energy/gods/spirits/well wishes/whatever else, THANK YOU! biggrin

Congratulations! biggrin

As for ADD...
Over-diagnosed in my area. It was horrible. It lead to an entire generation of people disregarding it as a valid challenge to people. This dismissive attitude is very dangerous. The over-diagnosis that lead to it is also a very dangerous trend. sweatdrop

If I disappear for a few days without much notice, consider this the notice. Hospice says my grandmother has anywhere from minutes to weeks left. We're hoping she can hold on until brother dearest comes in from Brazil later this week.

On the other hand, I went to wonderful concert today (I swear, I spend more time in Catholic Churches than many Catholics) and uh, apparently, I don't need to tell my parents I'm pagan. They know. My mother joked about it today.

That's load off my back. I had a fear of repercussions for awhile.

I told Tea, but for the rest of y'all.

I was telling my parents that the people we'll be renting from come May are a Communications Prof and a Methodist Minister and that they think we are a good influence on their son (who we will be living with).

Mom turns in the car and goes, "They know about the pagan thing, right?"

I froze for a second and said, "Nope, but Nick argued religion with them and we are still good!"

Wow, lucky you.

Me and my mother have a "don't ask, don't tell" sort of understanding about religion...

My mom just tried to find ways to connect my beliefs back to Christianity. A Left Hand Nontheistic Path mind you. Atheistic back then.

My dad had the don't ask don't tell policy. Fitting choice of words considering I'm exiled for being trans.

This was the first time either of us mentioned anything. I know one of my brothers knew, but I thought my parents thought I was an atheist (snerk)

Okay, I'm done done now.

Glad I had that semester and a half of theatre production early in my college career - I ended up planning, staging and tearing down the pinning ceremony today, and I've got a feeling that without the prior knowhow I brought to it, this thing would've been a trainwreck. xd

But I can rest now! Everything is done, I am the champions. I've got my pin, everything is cleaned and taken care of...TIME FOR RELAX! 4laugh

I told my parents just over a year ago I think.

I started talking about religion and gradually pushed it into the conversation. My dad is a hardline athiest and tried to tell me that all religious people are mentally ill. My mom was fine.

In fact, both of them were really, it never comes up in conversation. I mentioned it for the first time in months on friday when my dad asked me to do an example survey and I asked him to put me as 'other' in the religion section.

So, been reading blogs that discuss feminism, ableism, and racism, such as FWD/Forward, Racialicious, and Living in Spanglish, and might be super worried that some of the things I say or think might be inadvertently racist. sweatdrop Seems like it's really easy to do. I so wish they had more racial/cultural awareness classes. But this makes me feel even more isolated in my "whiteness." I'm half filipina but I don't know how much I can talk about being filipina without another filipino who is "more filipino" than me calling me on my privilege.

... emo I dunno. Bleah.

I know the feeling.

I'm a white middle class female. I live in a white middle class area. I vote conservative.

I hate that to some that makes me bad and a racist by default. I hate the fact that if I do even the tiniest thing it's automaticly seen as privelige, but some people can s**t all over stuff and thats fine.

In other news, I'm having a mental health day today!
I suffered a mini breakdown this morning afer a hideous few weeks, and because of my ulcerative colitis it's also made me physically ill. ninja
So I took the day off and slept for two hours at lunch!
