It might wind up blessedly short, like me. They got me in one line. Shorter and probably better than I could have. I'd have gone on for paaaaages with links to things I find relevant, but that no one would read. This was much better. xd

I like paying bills.
The pain is just a bonus.

I'm getting worried about a pain I've had for a few days now. It seems to be traveling downward, which leads me to believe it may be one thing I don't want - appendicitis. I'll be watching it like a hawk this weekend. Last thing I need is a boatload of stuffing and 'taters followed by a trip to the ER for a rupture. crying

So, finally bought a netbook that I've been wanting for months. Got it in the mail a few days ago and I LOVE IT.

...then today I see an ad for black friday. A comparable model, different brand, basically same price, goes on sale for $190 from $348. That's more than half off of what I paid for this one.

But! You have yours now, and don't need to go outside on Black Friday, fighting tooth and nail for the 'bargain', which may well be gone by the time you show up if you aren't there at the front of the line - a line, by the way, that requires you to sleep in a tent outside overnight in a parking lot.

Yeah, well worth the extra cash, if you ask me. 3nodding

Yes, but sometimes getting up before dawn to get great deals is worth it. And, if you're with the right people (Not the crazy people who wear shirts that say "If you don't have bruises, it's not worth it.") it can be pretty fun.

Nothing is worth getting up before the sun as far as I'm concerned. I'm a creature of sleeping! biggrin

I've never met a sane Black Friday shopper. And I count my own family, who bus down from Canada just to do it yearly since I moved here, among the crazies. xd

I worked retail for a few of the deadly Fridays, and the early morning bargain hunters still give me nightmares. I almost got punched in the face one year because the company issued us flyers for three stores in the central NY area and everything listed wasn't everywhere; some woman came charging up to me looking for a coat we didn't have that she INSISTED we must because it was IN THE FLYER, which specifically says 'hey, some stuff might not be at your local store' - she started yelling and threatening me, getting right up in my face. I was lucky my manager was right there to escort her out and back me up, else I swear she was cocking fists...and she was just the beginning that year. crying

Congratulations. You've just met a sane Black Friday shopper.
Though, this is probably my last year. Once I move out, I might just stop altogether unless I spend Thanksgiving down with my dad's side of the family.

All very good points.

Except it's online. With free shipping.

gonk

But you're right, I couldn't be happier with my new computer. I'll just have to let it go.
