You get more and more interesting every time I talk to you.

I always considered myself sort of a boring sort.

Sadly, my Hangul has gotten rusty now that I'm not spending my entire summers there and using the subway system on a daily basis. I'm sure I could pick it up again fairly easily if I were to go back though. I have no idea how long it'll be before I go back though, as my mom is moving back state side at the end of the month. But if I end up in Shanghai with my fiancee to teach, we'll probably go over there every now and then smile

Have you ever played any of the 44 duos for violin by Bartok?

Ah, rightio. I always loved the Korean language, especially the script. It appeals to me in the same way that playing with LEGOs does.

I have not played any of Bartok's duos. I either was part of a larger orchestra, or fiddled as a soloist. A matter I msut needs remedy.

We are expected to get several inches of rain this coming week, that would leave me well pleased.

SO King Tutankhamen's tomb and treasures are coming to the Art Gallery of Ontario in November. What do they have in preparation besides huge banners all over Toronto?

A gigantic statue of Yinepu is all his glory right in front of the gallery!
I can't help but worry of this. It seems so sacrilegious. Invoking such a god before displaying the results of tomb robbery. sweatdrop

English prof was being silly - dropped the course (got credit for it, done with English!), took up a theology in the morning (yay! Pentateuch!), and a philosophy twice a week, from 4pm to 5:50pm. Crappy time for it, but it's only half a semester. xd

The viola is one of those instruments where you're either amazing at it, or you really suck, there's not really any kind of middle ground. I think it's probably because of its structure. I really wanted to name my newest cello after my favorite female character from Shakespeare, but I realized that naming her Viola would probably give her a complex xp

Fiddler, you're making want to start practicing my violin again, which I don't have time for! Maybe over winter break.

This is really just for those of us in Ohio, but I really want to try and get the word out as this is an issue that's close to home for me. Copy/pase from my thread in another guild I'm in.

Quote:
Issue 2 is about the creation of an Ohio board of livestock care. This board would oversee the conditions Ohio livestock is kept in and see to the welfare of livestock animals. Here is a link to the Proposed Amendment Please read over this. There is a lot of propaganda on both sides. It is being opposed by the HSUS (who we all know has gotten in bed with PETA) as they belive that passing it will cause a decrease in the care provided by farmers. The Ohio Farm Bureau and the Ohio Ag Council support this amendment.

If this is the same one that was at San Francisco not too long ago, I went there. SQUEE'D at the Bast statue in the front area. From what I can remember there were a bunch of statues, a nice one of Sekhmet ( heart ), and really very beautiful jewelry. Notable pieces were the glass head rest made to look like lapis lazuli, which I at first mistook it for. Very beautiful chest piece, which made me go "wow." Some random things like a child's chair with pictures of gods on it, and a royal dagger which was stunning. But mostly it was random trinkets...ah, I do remember some makeup jars.

So...if you really like Egypt, it should be fun. It wasn't very big, and my boyfriend kept scoffing and saying it was nothing compared to the exhibit in Egypt, to which I had to roll my eyes because, well, DUH. I still enjoyed myself but wished there was more.

Apparently the 20pt question I had whined about previously had been referenced to us on the pre-exam. I used a formula from the pre-exam I had thought unrelated to the question, especially as I substituted one variable in for another that should not have been substitutable, and I got full credit for that part of the exam. I just don't know why it works.

That is entirely contrary to my aims. I would never intend to cause marital dissonance.
Please, express my most sincere apologies for anything that might seem inappropriate in my conduct. sweatdrop

Also, that prop...
It aims to create more regulation by making a standardized board to establish legal minimums?
The fear is that once these minimums are established, they will seldom be exceeded?

Mayhaps.
Again, I do apologize if I am causing duress. I personally find music to be a wonderful tool for assisting the mind in finding concordant rhythm. Furthermore, the promulgation of beauty enriches the world as a whole. It should not cause discord.

I thought I was just okay at it. I think if I would've taken private lessons aside from orchestra class at school my playing would have been even better.

LOL! A cello named Viola xd Yes, I can see a complex stemming from that.

So my history minor plan is starting to look like a History/Planning Double Major.

Which is okay, because even for doing the minor, I'd have to catch up and do classes in the summer term. gonk
