DX The pool is my favorite place to be, in the summer. I think I might like the beach more if my friends were in to taking naps, as it always seems that my energy drains right out of me as soon as I set foot on the beach. Warm sand, salt air, and the rhythmic sound of the ocean is the perfect scenario to lull me into a blissful sleep. ^^

I just haven't had very good experiences with the beach. Both times were on vacation. Hawaii meant hanging onto a floaty thing, being dehydrated, and almost getting sun stroke. Mexico meant going on a banana boat and continually falling off because some idiot on the back kept bobbing up and down to ******** with people. Then I had to swim 10 feet to the shore, with huge breaking waves, and me too scared and stupid to duck and squeeze my nose shut every time the waves came crashing down on me in mini-drowning episodes.

...actually I pretty much hate the beach. stare Though I will admit snorkeling in a fish filled reef is pretty cool.

I haven't been out in the ocean on any type of boat. I've merely swam. The salt in the water is really annoying when it gets in the mouth. Blerg.

GAH! i hate the beach (ironic that i live on one) but don't get me wrong, it makes for a lovely postcard, but the sand, the salt the sunburn and the things that try to eat me... no thanks, lol. pools tend to bore me as well, but i do really like those 'lazy river' things. just hope on a float and ride the current in a safe nothing-will-eat-you environment.

My friends and I race each other in the Lazy Rivers. xD

LOL @ nothing-will-eat-you environment! xd

I'm actually the same, I really like those lazy rivers, and floating on my back. But I can only amuse myself for so long until I need to be back on dry land.

UGH. You just reminded me of the inevitable "burny-eye." burning_eyes

Yeah, the banana boat was a really...really, really bad idea. They couldn't boat us back to the shore because the tide was so strong and the waves too huge. Plus I don't know how to swim very well.

lol, we would always try to race in reverse. its really hard swimming against the current, but it was a good work out even if we never got anywhere. xd

xD On the bright side, the trombone is an instrument where one can quickly build enough proficiency so as not to make such horrid noses. The clarinet, now...*shudders.*

Ah.
Well, I do wish her grand progress, and that she find a place other than our apartments to practice... the walls are thin. sweatdrop

Why I'm waiting to purchase a Baritone. I don't want to annoy neighbors with my playing. After 6-7 years now where I haven't gotten to play, yeah sweatdrop I'll be restarting at square one.

I had to turn on the heater when I woke up. Because it was so cold my teeth were chattering.

I hate Nebraska. crying

At least the tent stakes will go into the ground easy.

Oh yeah, hey everyone! I'll be gone until Sunday Afternoon/Evening. Don't be stupid, don't be cruel, listen to Vi and think warm thoughts at me. It's supposed to slip below freezing at night.

Yweouch... well, at least it's over Sophist, eh?

Aino, I'm not sure about gills, but it could work similarly, yes. 3nodding

Nuri, remember that spell from The Sword in the Stone? The one Merlin packed with... wouldn't that be fun? biggrin
Oh, and Godspeed.

That is quite considerate, Shearaha. 3nodding

You know, I have accepted that if an animal eats me, it's only fair. By taking the flesh of others and consuming it, I have voluntarily opted into a cycle which includes me possibly being chow, or rather, I forsake my right to complain about it.
