Aino Ailill Sophist Fiddlers Green Sophist I just came back from three days of Disneyland! biggrin How was it? AWESOMELY CONSUMERISTIC! heart *cuddles her new Scary Teddy plushy* I was most excited about the Nightmare Before Christmas alteration to my favorite ride, the Haunted Mansion. It was pretty good but I think I prefer the original version. I started buying pins and it's addicting. And they're cute. Also, I went to California Adventure the first time ever and thought the Ferris Wheel was terrifying while the roller coaster and Tower of Terror were simply fun. sweatdrop According to my Disney-manic friend, any customer may go up to any employee and trade any pin of e's own (the customer) for any pin of the employee and the employee must make the trade. At least, for Disney World. If it is true, I'd imagine it would apply to the Disney Lands as well. Do you know if it is true? Tower of Terror is disappointing, methinks. It would be more terrifying if you weren't in a closed room with a bunch of others.
Yes, it's true. That's how I got the Belle pin out of a set that I would've otherwise had no interest in. Belle's my favorite princess, but I think she's pretty unappreciated compared to the others. I was walking up to the counter with set in hand, and saw the pin I wanted right on the lanyard of the store employee. I traded away a pin that was more an impulse buy than an "I HAS TO HAVE" type thing, but I later regretted it because while talking to another employee who's been an avid trader since they came out, I was told people who only want some pins from a set use the rest as trade aways to get exclusive pins that you can only get through employee trades, totally unbuyable. That was kind of a "bawww" moment. But wutevs, still got my Belle pin. mrgreen
And Tower of Terror was not as bad as I thought it would be. I heard the Universal Studios in Florida version is better because you get to do a little tour of the hotel with the different rooms. In the L.A. version you do see one hallway but then it's just the up and down after that.
