Reine, for a lens, try the clear overhead projector sheets. They're stiffer than plastic wrap, and they take hot glue much, much better. And, if you were going to make some crazy goggles, it's much easier to sandwich a design between two projector sheets. You can also get the ones you can print on, and then you wouldn't even have to use markers.

;D Yaaayyy!! The hat is coming along nicely. I have all the pieces made now, all I need to put the fabric on them, and attach them with hot glue. Then add the finishing touch; the ribbon. <3 I can't wait to see how it comes out! *excited*

I found out how amazing it can be while using it to make fake armor for a costume (that never quite happened).

Also, I expect there will be pictures of this amazing hat and monocle?

I'm jam-packed for socializing this month. This friday is a Great Big Sea concert (in BLOOMINGTON, of all places) the week after is a fighting event, and two weeks after that is another concert, this one the Israeli Ethnic Ensemble, which I'm seeing with a bunch of bellydancers.

It's like I woke up and got a life all of a sudden.

I'm always soooo jealous of the concerts you're going to! Though, I did get to see Natalie McMaster play last weekend, so that was pretty awesome, but still!

How can GBS go to Bloomington and not stop ANYWHERE in Michigan?!?! gonk

Sweet. I found some people that are more knowledgeable about the Uni's PRIDE Student Union and they directed me to the facebook group. I'm going to check it out; hopefully it's not a flop.

They have a Bible study group and they have specified that one isn't required to be a Christian to attend. I love the idea of studying in a group but have always been nervous to go to one as some people would find it disrespectful. Not a problem, here! ^_^

They also have a Disney movie night on Friday but I have a class during it. sad

I have a friend who'd probably be willing to go to Chicago to see them, but I don't trust her driving. Plus, I keep doing way too many things on weekends that aren't schoolwork, and I need to buy fabric for totally new garb this week.

I'm a herald in our school's faire this year, and will be cross dressing. I get pumpkin pants and a half cape!
