TeaDidikai Celeblin Galadeneryn That's.... Holy ******** am so sorry. It was a head-desk moment. And I know I wouldn't have had a lot of support in my position. Hey Celeblin, do you know of a word that addresses bigotry against another religion in the same way that some terms address bigotry against gender and the like? Like sexist or misogynist? I think religionism might be a word but beyond that you probably want Anti-X bigotry.

The problem is that our lexicon for most of this stuff stemmed from an age where we actually thought people with different complexions and physical features were a different species. Our understanding has changed, but our vocab really doesn't seem to have caught up. sweatdrop

TeaDidikai It was just the audacity of it. "But the word G~ comes from Egyptian! And you read tea leaves and stuff... " I rarely actually want to hit people. It just doesn't happen that much.

I can understand that sudden violent impulse in the face of that.
ShadowCatSoul I would just like to wish everyone a happy Mabon. I celebrated last night and very much enjoyed myself. Hope all of you did as well.
I have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. Apparently a holiday of some sort.

The best I have is religionist. And admittedly it's an awkward word. Religocentric seems to work though for ignoring other religious contexts in favor of one's own. So I imagine religionist or religist would work.

There was a time when I would say that, if I wanted a burger, then I would go to MacDonalds. Not that their burgers are stellar, just that I had not had a better one (and I had had a lot). However, recently, I had the most scrumptious of burgers ever. It was a lamb burger with feta cheese and some other fixings. Sooo good.

So, not completely a position of religious bigotry. Hmmm...

I make a Bell and Bacon Burger. I use ground beef and sweet sausage, a couple other things- patties about an inch thick after cooking. Top it off with freshly roasted bell pepper, bacon, and some other fixings.

Aww, now my mouth is watering! I'm off to get a Whopper. A poor substitute, but it'll have to do.
