David Hume
I may venture to affirm of the rest of mankind, that they are nothing but a bundle or a collection of different perceptions, which succeed each other with an inconceivable rapidity, and are perpetual in flux and movement...

My gods there is so much to cover with gender identity in Asia, ESPECIALLY if I go over the state created feminism during the cultural revolution, specifically how it erased the feminine gender. But that would be huge. And I don't wanna do something so general because it would just be too much for 10 pages.

Personally, I think the sexism in Confucian Philosophy and critique thereof would be a pretty interesting read.

There are a handful of books on this that I've found already, but I'm just worried I might be beating a dead horse here. On the other hand it's an undergrad class and I'm not really supposed to be doing any original research anyway.

Yeah, something of that nature could probably turn into a senior thesis, maybe even a Master's or Doctoral.

I found that for my undergrad classes, philosophy and psychology mostly, that it wasn't so much about being original as much as being able to interpret other people's work and synthesize them in logical ways; in essence, to think and write critically.

A cute girl was being flirty in the laundry room with me. XD I love how gay friendly my school is.

That said I have a few in mind: sex-trafficking in China, Japanese love hotels, the population control measures and birth control of China, sexism in Confucian philosophy and a feminist critique of said philosophy, and state-created feminism during the Cultural Revolution.

Anybody? crying

If you do it on something having to do with Confucianism, I can ask my fiancee for book ideas for you, as that is her specialty. Her thesis paper in her final philosophy class was post-feminism and Confucian philosophy, or something like that. I should read it, since it's on my computer somewhere...

Also, since I don't remember where this was originally written: I talked to my professor about purity laws concerning menstration, and he said it was something he'd never really thought about, but he'd look it up ^_^

Alright, my adjusted score on this last practice LSAT is 161!!!! And, it would be closer to a 163 or higher if my reading comprehension score didn't slip!! So, I can at least get about a 163 on the real test!!! Which would hopefully get me into at least U Pitt or Penn State!!

I got my wings! xD It turns out that everything in my inventory was just enough to afford them >.< Now for the Bolt Deodorant, Masquerade 3rd Gen., Cloud, and Fallen Wish 6th Gen. This might take a while. xP At least my avie is attractive in the interim!

I wish I had seen your post on 20K left to go earlier. I would have given you my set at a discount, sad

Aww, thanks.

*_* Those book recommendations would be GREAT. Thanks! Please pm them when you get them because I don't always check here.

I don't know if my prof will know as much about the priesthood as he thought there were no female priests. I think he knows more about the history than he does the religion. He could barely understand the concept of the parts of the soul, so... *shrug*

The honor lied on pelicans, and especially on humans who are comparable to pelicans, makes me uncomfortable. The Order of the Pelican (SCA) is so named because they will 'rip out their hearts to feed their brood.' That isn't something I'd award; it's something I'd be aghast at. Doing for others is all fine and dandy, but at the sacrifice of the self? Eugh. Choose another animal to model yourself after.

My parent is on the track to becoming a Pelican, but I know e is not self-sacrificing as the title implies. E loves to help out. The sense of being needed, and more, being recognized as useful, is a strong motivation for e's help.

speaking of which, I need to make a new tunic. I've got dusty purple/pink flannel to be made into a mostly fitted long sleeved tunic. Now I just have to get around to doing it before Octoberfest, the second week of October.
